|
|
So I downloaded this ep and opened it in vegas fine. I put two scenes on the timeline and edited them. Then like 20 min later the whole episode went red in the trimmer window, and on the timeline, the clips from that ep were just black. Why did it work and then go corrupt?
Its not to bad cause it was just two small parts in the vid and I have got another download but how do you know if a file is corrupt before downloading? Cause I dont want that to happen again lol it might be worse next time.
And once a file is corrupt can you fix it somehow?
It was an .avi file. But all my other .avi eps for that show work fine. Did it go corrupt cause it was a bad link? |

Are you sure that it renders with the black clips because sometimes Vegas tries to tell you something is wrong when it isn't. A good fix for this seems to be to change the preview window from draft to preview and it refreshes the clips.
Other than that avi files don't work too well with vegas as a general rule. It might be worth trying another file link but most likely it's your codecs that are having trouble working in vegas. There's a fix here: http://lostvideo.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=202792#202792 but it's by no means foul proof. _________________
