Good episode!
No Charlie made me a happy Lostsie!
Good to see what happened to Claire when she was taken by Ethan. Btw is the guy talking to Ethan the same guy threatening Jack minus beard? Looking forward to more Alex. _________________

Great great epsiode. Loved it. The Aaron thing was so sad, I just can't stand seeing little babys cry. And poor Danielle, oh I am looking forward, whe she will meet Alex again.
So now I got some questions about Eko, maybe I just missed something.
WHY exactly, marked his favorite trees first and cut them down now.
WHEN did he say he want to build a church???
and WTH did he cut his beard???
You think we will EVER know this for sure? *gg* _________________

Oh yeah, did anybody else notice the mobile for Aaron's crib? Were those Oceanic Airplanes? And what was that song playing? It sounded familiar.
EDIT: Went to Lost Forum and yes, they were Oceanic Airplanes and the song was 'Catch a falling star', the song Claire wanted the adoptive parents to sing to Aaron.
Steph 1: Thanks Steph.
Steph 2: You are quite welcome Steph. And your above question about the stations that nobody even blinked at: I am not sure how many there are, but it does seem like there are more than three now.
Steph 1: Hey, cool, thanks Steph 2 |

On second viewing his accent is even the same. 99.99999% sure it is, especially since the cap found in the locker is the same one he waers in his costume.

1. nobody knows
2. never, but it's speculation
3. two reasons speculated: 1. the two dreads represented his sins by killing those two men, and he cut them off to show that he had gone past that. 2. He wanted to be in the 'good" crowd with the others, and by giving them his hair they could tell he didn't have the sickness... or something... but that's kinda a stupid idea now that I think about it since I'm pretty sure they can't test DNA from a hair sample...

Was I the only one that literally shivered when that song played? that is just too damn creepy... they know some things about Claire. Furthermore, how did they get Oceanic Airline planes so soon, and build that room so soon? It's almost as if they planned this specifically to get Claire, and maybe have a connection to Oceanic Airlines. very creepy, that cradle. it was also in Claire's dream from Raised by Another, along with the man of Claire's dreams *pause* Locke! |

IVY- Im with you on the beard question. When he raised his knife up, I thought just for a split second (considering the context of their conversation) that he was going to slit his own throat or something. But is that a cultural thing, with the beard? Anyone know? _________________

Damn. I sound like such a newbie. Maybe I should actually put some real insight in this thread. Okay I loved this episode besides the fact that there was no Charlie What? I didn't say anything. Yes I loved this episode because all the flashbacks were on the island and it was awesome to see what happened with Claire and how she escaped. I liked how both Danielle and Alex helped her escape so it looks as if they're both good. Now all we need is a Danielle/Alex reunion. That would be so sweet. And where did everybody go when Claire got back? It was almost completely empty! My theory: it's all a scientific experiement/act. The dude talking to Ethan outside in the hallway sounded exactly like the dude that said "this is our island" So maybe that theatrical glue and hair stuff was his and maybe this whole other thing and sickness thing is all a ploy to see how people react to it. Oh well I guess we'll find out sooner or later. _________________

I loved loved loved this episode! One of my favourites now. My jaw was literally hanging through the most of it.
When we first saw Ethan giving Claire that injection I was like WTF? but then I noticed the Darma symbols on the bottles and was like OMG!!! Then when they were on that tree stump sitting down I thought they were about to mae out lol and I was basically screaming get away from him he's EVIL!
When we first saw even a tiny clip of Alex I knew it was her right away. And then we saw Beardy-man-not-so-Beardy who turns out not to be the leader after all (who is 'he' that he kept referring to???).
And then Kate found the ripped up costumes and theatrical glue etc and I was like Oh my god! So the others are less of a 'tribe' now and more of just plain maniacs! I can't wait to find out actually WHO they are but I feel it will be a verrry long time before that becomes clear.
When Claire asked Sun "Are you a mother?" she hesitated....(if you've seen the preview for the next ep you may see where I'm coming from.)
Also, was it just a coincidence that Kate said the baby was 'Quaratine'???
AND, wtf did Eko cut off some of his beard? Am I missing something here?
ANDDD, because we now know that Danielle is good, was she right about the quivering hot air balloon dude they locked up?
Where was Charlie? Is Claire gonna be nice to him now after she knows what happened?
And finally, when is WALT (& Michael) going to return???? I thought with such a big episode about the others it would explain something about their where...about...s lol (I love Austin Powers ha!)
Sorry this was so long. _________________

Same here... I am really wondering where is Michael/Walt? And why did they not mention either of them for the LONGEST TIME! I mean cmon, everyone has completely forgotten about them already. Im upset at how they have completely disregarded looking for them.
Oh well who knows maybe in the next few episodes we may get what we want to know about their whereabouts.
The recent events that have occurred also makes me wonder about "DESMOND" and who he really is. He's really kind of mysterious, but I do not think he is one of the others. I hope he comes back soon!!
Wouldn't it be awesome if they did a DESMOND centric eppisode? |

Dunno, but I thought the exact same thing when he was about to cut his beard, and judging by my mom's gasp I think she thought the same thing lol
You know what's the most amazing thing abotu this ep? The writers assistants wrote this one, and all by themselves, over the holidays. According to the podcast anyway. I don't know about you guys, but that seems pretty impressive to me |

Yeh, I was quite suprised by that too! At first I just though, oh great, 2 n00bs wrote it? This is going to suck! But then, to my suprise, it was just the opposite!
So, when i heard that on the podcast, I was like ..ohhhh writers assistants, that makes more sense! These guys were out to prove themselves! They probably spent a lot more time writing and tweaking their script than the other 'professional' writers ever do on theirs! _________________

but... they were on their vacations when they wrote it
I fear if it's true, but could it just be the fact that we got answers we like this one so much?
Nah, it couldn't be... right?
But hey, if they can spit out eps like that, I say it's time for a promotion, and a demotion of some of the other writers... |

Finally got to watch this one. I liked this episode. Loved no Charlie, but I do seem to remember his being in the promo pics. I thought Kate was kind of weird and not herself in the episode. I think it's because she was more of a vehicle for Claire's story than anything else. If you think about it, it could have easily been Jack, Sawyer, Locke, or even Sun in that role. There was nothing intrinsically "Kate" about it.
*edit* And what is WITH everyone snapping at everyone all the time? Holy Cow! "Are you a mom?" WTF? Claire, TAKE A CHILL PILL! Snapping at Sun of all people. And Jack being all "Dude? You WOKE ME UP cause the baby's got a fever! Get the eff outta here!" It's been like that a lot lately. Everyone just needs to get laid. |
