I loved the trippy scenes and the flashbacks were better than the hunting party.. Charlie in a nappy- we will be talking about that for ages
That said I would probably rate it similar to last weeks because of the others scene in hunting party. That was one of the those awesome lost moments. It's a shame it was let down by dull Jacko flashbacks.
I dunno what everyone is getting so riled up about this week though. There have been much worse episodes this season (Adrift. ..And Found.) _________________

Yeah there really have been some worse ones- adrift was horrible. My mom missed it and I told her not to bother. Talk about writing yourself into a corner- we STILL havent been told how Jin made it to the island before Mike and Sawyer...

Hobbes I'm sorry. I love your eternal optimism and it certainly is not my intent to make other people, least of all you, hate the show. (Of course my personal theory is that all of our complaints do have some validity and that is the reason they effect you so profoundly, hehe.) |
Yep you're absolutely right about that, the worst part about it all is I agree with you guy's arguements Thus why it makes it so much more painful for the optimist I am...
Then again, I've never experienced one of my favourite shows being cancelled while I was intenly watching it (Carnivale doesn't really count as I was just catching up when it was cancelled) so I somehow doubt the optimism will stay too long either gotta use it as logn as I have it I guess.
But appology accepted ; |

Charlie's a prick
Though, it has nothing to do with the drugs. He has been just a total **************** this season. Like, begin mean to Hurley in 2x04 or kidnapping babies. |

Nate, no you're absolutely not. To prove it, I'll comprise a list of things I like about Charlie:
1. ... okay, I got nothing.
And regarding Locke, I think he's a little bit delusional at times and I have my doubts as to whether or not he's a good guy or a bad guy. He might have good intentions in the end, but it's not so much about the reasons, but what you're willing to do for those reasons and realizing what's more important.
I don't HATE Locke. I just doubt him. His flashbacks seem to make some fans "worship" him more, but to me it just illustrates that he's willing to do ANYTHING to feel in control and powerful because even when he wasn't in the wheelchair people constantly took that from him. His crappy bosses, his father, etc. etc. He can be very dangerous. You taste that power and you don't want to give it up. Especially if you've been deprived of it before.
What I think Jack understands is that being in a position where people look up to you and trust you can be a double-edged sword and therefore you have to be particularly careful. I don't think Locke is malicious, but I do think that he's "power-hungry" and not all that concerned with the group as a whole in some situations, which makes him dubious at best.
In this particular episode, I feel like Locke was protecting Claire and nothing more. He saw Charlie as a threat. He had kidnapped the baby twice from its crib. No matter his intentions, he was a danger and Locke has a vested interest in Claire. He has grown a bond with her since the crib incident. He is now her protector. Charlie was never that for her. He wanted to be, but let's face it, he did not and could not live up to the title. (If they had left it up to him to get Aaron back from Danielle, it never would have happened. All he did was slow Sayid down and then proceed to complicate things further by yelling like a lunatic at Danielle and calling her crazy. In other words, Sayid got the baby back and Charlie got all the credit.) I was glad that Claire clarified that she and Charlie never were a couple, that they had only met and became "friends" and nothing more. She doesn't OWE him anything. |

I agree as well. I dont understand the absolute "worship". Also, its SO funny to me- my "tripod" of friends- my 2 best friends- none between us had a decent father. Im not saying thats okay, and I do feel bad that Locke was in a wheelchair and his dad was a total prick, but you gotta let that stuff go- which as we saw in his flashbacks at anger management, he has a serious problem doing. It will just eat you from the inside. And as for his job? Hell Im at a job RIGHT NOW with most people whom I despise. One woman goes OUT OF HER WAY to be bitch to me- like a Randy. Locke, join the club- no one talks about their pasts on the islands, but theres a lot of tragedy & "daddy issues" (Kate, Charlie, Jack, Sawyer, Shannon, Locke, Walt). _________________
