Does anyone else agree with me that mr Cooper -- Locke's dad -- might just be the real mr Sawyer? I've heard speculations about this before, but last night I watched "Orientation" again and when mr Cooper said that quote, it just totally made scence to me. The age is right, he's evil (that's what I think) and he, if anyone, could be heartless enough to do what he did to Sawyer.
And since we're at it; just read that Kate's mom Diane will be back in Locke's upcoming episode (13). In Locke's flashback. It's a small world after all...

Well hes enough of a sleazebag. See its that kind of parenting that breeds serial killers. Locke should be grateful that he wasnt raised by that guy.

Yep  I bet it's mr Cooper who's the real mr Sawyer. But I'm wondering what Diane has to do with it? I have an odd but believable theory, like: let's say Diane and Wayne was conned by Locke's dad while Kate was still a kid? And maybe Diane feels guilty about it and that's why she stuck with him  ah, something like that.

I dont mean to be dense, but whos Diane? Yeah its a great theory- was wondering what that whole "why pick sawyer" thing interested him so much.

With the way the writers have gone to such trouble to interconnect so many details, I think there's a pretty good chance that Locke's dad could've been the real Sawyer. Actually, I thought that even before the whole "Locke's awfully interested in Sawyer's name" thing. 
However, the writers seem to also keep an eye on what popular opinion is...that way they can make sure NOT to do it! So the real Mr. Sawyer is probably going to be... Hurley's grandpa!
