Holy Crap this movie was awesome. If ever there was a "Jake Movie" this was it.
I'm so dumbfounded by how awesome it was I don't even know what to say, so I'll just say this... GLORIOUS!!! _________________

shh... I'm going on Wednesday... (it's the only day I got free and don't have to be at work at like 3 in the afternoon)
and Jake, I gotta hand it to ya, not many guys can pull off saying the word "Glorious", but you handle it quite nicely. _________________ Get Ready to Disappear...

Eeee! I can't wait to see this! It looks beyond amazing. Plus it's got cutie Nick Stahl (even if he is some creepy yellow dude in half the movie).
I'm seeing it Tueday. Yay! |

Nick Stahl was actually the weirdest thing about the movie, simply because I'm used to his character in Carnivale. I kept thinking "You're not this sicko creep, you're Ben Hawkins. Heal someone damn it!" _________________

Aaaah! I want to see this movie so bad it HURTS!
I'm not going to be able to until at least next Wednesday though, which sucks. And even then I'm only going if they have a matinee, as "Lost" is still a priority and my VCR isn't working!
Glad to see it getting good reviews both from critics and moviegoers.
It looks so damn cool I was worried it might not live up to my expectations. |

That was basically how I felt. I loved it, but I just didn't have much to say. Still dumbfounded by it all. _________________

I just found a few words...
The only Sin City stuff I'd seen before the movie was the covers on a shelf in a comic shop. I haven't been in a comic shop for years but I distinctly remember those covers. They are so bold that they imprinted in my mind without me even really looking at them. I think the art translated perfectly to film - probably something to do with Frank Miller's co-direction. It was inspiring.
As for the meat of the film, the Marv scenes were my favorite but the Hardigan stuff was good too. I did kind of wish it had a stronger ending... But the gore humor was perfect and the ass kicking was (to quote Jake) glorious. It was just really fun to watch. _________________

...also it was fun to watch the reactions of the people that just randomly picked Sin City as their friday night entertainment. They obviously didn't know what they were instore for and some didn't quite know how to react. lol. _________________
