I am trying to work with the text effects on a project and I wanted to sync the text to the timeline so I can edit it more easily.

But for some reason the sync cursor button in the text effect is not allowing me to use it.It just remains grey, so I can not click on it.

Does anyone know why this would be happening. I used the sync button on a video clip and it worked fine.But now in the text effect, it won't work.

Oh, wow, good question. I wish I knew the answer. I've never used the sync cursor. Hopefully someone here will know, but if no one does, try Googling it. I usually have pretty good luck finding answers out there. Good luck!

I even checked with my "in house" expert and she didn't know.So I did what you suggested and I tried looking it up.It seems like maybe for some reason sync cursor isn't available for text effects.

I found another way to do the effect I wanted, so I think I'll just have to stick to that.

I do have a tendency to make up my own terminology. That's just the name it gave me when I hovered over the button. I never really knew what it was called before,either.
