I published an iMix today. It's kind of fun so I thought I'd share it. Definately thematic! It's called "Seafaring Shanties: Pirates, Sailors, and the Horizon."
Salty Dog by Flogging Molly
A Pirate Looks at Forty by Jack Johnson
South Australia by The Seadogs
Birds and Ships by Billy Bragg and Wilco
Dungeon Song by Scurvy Bastards
Redemption Song by Bob Marley and the Wailers
What's Left of the Flag by Flogging Molly
A Sailor's Life by Sheila Chandra
One Million Miles Away by J. Ralph
Valparaiso by Sting
If I Ever Leave This World Alive by Flogging Molly
The Skye Boat Song by Celtic Fiddle Festival
I know there's a lot of Flogging Molly in there, but I can't help it. They're great. And if band names like "The Seadogs" and "Scurvy Bastards" surprise you, well don't be. It turns out there's a whole group of bands who make nothing but Pirate-esque music. That tickles me. Who knew?
