simple. right now there isn't a single psp game out that i'd want to play.
Plus I don't think i could just whip out a PSP at work. _________________

Ah, but you could hide it in your desk drawer!

It's such a shame that the actual need for a system is the only thing that is preventing a person from getting said system It plays music, it's.... kinda small.. ish! |

yeah and the psp has so much GAMING potential its a shame. Sony really dropped the ball this time. Sure i could be paying for psp versions of all the movies i already bought on dvd - or surfing the net on a psp broswer that can't do half the stuff firefox can... but where are the games?
the ipod may do less - but it knows what it's suposed to do, and it does what it does well. _________________

I heard you could at least hack said PSP and run SNES ROMS on it... that's something at least. But yeah, you're right about the PSP thing. It's just a shame because even though it's kinda useless now, if some good games come in soon then suddenly the iPod will be for nothing... though it is so pleasantly small and resiliant! But you're right, it does what it's supposed to do, and it does it masterfully. |

hey, when i want to play SNES, I'll do it on the real hardware with the real classic controllers thank you very much! There's a reason I collect old games. Maybe i'm just old school but no emu can ever recreate the experience of playing on a real SNES.
Also, carrying around a psp for music when there are devices like nano around would be quite cumbersome. I'm wary of these all-in-one products like psp. Have u ever seen one device that makes coffee, toasts bread, and washes dishes? no. because those things are seperate. same with movies, video games and music. i think anyway. _________________

well i went ahead and bought one!
But i'm kind of going crazy now since I've heard the stories about nano's casing being rather scratch-prone (it's a type of plastic instead of aluminum like the mini).
and of course, smart Apple has yet to ship their 'nano tube' cases. Which don't even protect the screen for some reason. Anyway, I've looked at pretty much every 3rd party case and this one looks the best by far:
http://www.iskin.com/store/I2BeNotified.tpl
and of course it doesn't come out till (probably late) October...
...so I've only been using it here at home in it's protective plastic wrapper that it came in (cut a hole at the bottom so i can sync and charge) which is not nearly as fun.
I think once i get a case and feel comfortable carrying around my 'portable' music player, it will be very awesome. and till then i will remain crazy. _________________

LMAO i know.
But dammit, i spent $250 on this tiny thing. I won't let it get ruined by doing something completly silly like using it! lol. _________________
