I loved that too. I think that's why she was better suited for him. She never walked on egg shells for him. |

I actually have a theory about Jack and Juliet. Rather than type it all out again, I'm just going to cut and paste it from another forum:

Jack and Juliet both died on thet island (presumably) a long time before Kate and Sawyer and therefore got there first, which explains how they knew each other longer than any of the other members of the quad. Maybe the reason Jack was drawn to Juliet when he met her in the flashsideways was not only because they were on the island together, but because subconsciously he was still carrying around the guilt of "causing" her death. In their new reality, instead of getting her killed, he did what he wished he had done: he took care of her and tried to give her the long happy life he believed she deserved and that he deprived her of, but it didn't work out because part of him was still waiting for Kate, and her for Sawyer, only neither of them was aware of it until they saw them again and remembered. |

I really liked your theory.
My issue wasn't them together, I actually thought that made more sense than Sarah because Jack seemed more happy and confident here and it seemed like he got along with his dad more too here.
My issue was David seemed to imply that Jack and Juliet didn't get along, but that wasn't the case when they saw one another, they seemed nice around one another. And my point was you most likely couldn't show them with conflict like MOST ex's would have because of the short time we had with the plot.
I had no problem with them being together. |

Nice theory, Samara!  Since we don't know what happened after they left the Island until each of them died and went to the flashsideways world, then that also leaves it open to say that Sawyer and Kate could've spent the rest of their lives together as well.  After all, who would've understood each other better under the circumstances?  |

I figured they would have. Sawyer and Kate (Accidental typed Jack and Sawyer. LOL!)
Though I think if they did hook up, it would have been a while after leaving the island, both morning the people they loved.
I assume they all stuck together. Maybe Sawyer finally got to see his daughter. And told Cassidy he was sorry to get her to stop bitching. |

Honestly, I'm just going to put a lot of those kinds of inconsistences down to the writers trying to make it seem like the flashsideways were something else (eg. an alternate reality created by the bomb).
Darlton wanted us to think that Jack and Juliet were like any other divorced parents but of course it was more complicated than that because they were never really married. It was just a way for Jack to work through some of his issues while he waited for Kate to get there.

Yeah, I don't think it would've been a "ooo, let's hit the motel as soon as the plane lands"  sort of thing at all. But I think it's as fair an assumption as any other since we don't know what happened to them after they got off the Island. |

Oh, I think they were definitely trying to pull a fast one at the first there, making it like everything else with the characters was exactly the same backstory as the original timeline, except with Oceanic 815 not crashing. Then we started seeing all the things that were different: Desmond's on the plane but Shannon's not, Sun and Jin can't speak English and aren't married, etc. Then the differences got bigger and bigger: Sawyer's a cop, Hurley is lucky and then we knew that this definitely wasn't just a simple "what would've happened if the plane wouldn't have crashed" scenario. |

It's been a while since I haven't post a thing...lack of time!!!
But since it's the end, I thought I had too!! I'm huge fan, so I wanted to tell my feelings at least try.
First because I loved the end, but also because there are parts I'm not sure I understand...It's been two days now, and I have some questions after this incredible ending!!!Off course I cried my heart out hours after the show ended, kept telling myself "can't beleive it's over and God I don't get it"!!!
I loved the idea of AU as a reunion of the whole team to be able to "leave" altogether but there are things I don't understand.
Fist of all, why was Desmond the leader in all this?...Because he got aware of the situation, right after the radiation in the cage and he was not dead by the time, then why was he the first to understand the afterlife reunion part????...and aware of this even on the island???
Second is it possible that all of this was just in Jack's mind, to help him out to pass away at peace?
Third, why all the one who got off the island, Kate, Claire, Sawyer, who (as we suppose it) die years after Jack's death look like when they left the island?
I don't know, maybe it's because I really didn't expect such an end, but if anyone has answers to my questions, or theories, be welcome to share:!!!
But on a fan point of view, I'm really happy about this ending, it's really beautiful...and as Jack closed his eyes, we could all feel relief...now it's all gone for good and it's sad, but what an amazing way to die for Jack!! The hero he always felt he was...and Vincent close to him....Beautiful...Just beautiful...
Now i'm gonna work on big video, because i'ts the only way to keep remembering them!!!!

Lol; shows how much the show needed him I know he had a big ego though; Dom talked about it once when they were shooting season 2; he said he didn't like shooting those scenes. I got the distinct impression they didn't get along.
