Ok I finally got to see this movie today and let me tell you it was SO GOOD! It was way better then the other Exorcist movies. It was mostly about the trial though following after Emily's death with a bit of flashbacks and memories thrown in there of her when she was possessed.
The priest that performed the Exorcism was arrested and sent to trial for the murder of Emily.
But yeah I really liked it even though it wasn't really scary.
If you haven't seen it yet, GO SEE IT!

YAY I can't wait to see this movie....
and Holly what do you mean the other exorcist movies..... let's not even mention II and III as you can't even call them movies LMAO 
what was Laura Linney like, i have always thought she was a great actress but wasn't sure how she'd be in this movie??

LOL Yeah I was talkin about those pitiful Exorcists movies II and III. Those movies really did suck ass didn't they? Plus that other one that came out last year, Exorcist: The Beginning. That one was crap too. LOL.
But yeah this movie was so much better. I was just saying that the movie was better then all of the Exorcist ones.
Oh and Vicky, Laura Linney was excellent in this movie. Her character was pretty cool. She played the lawyer that represented the priest at the trial. She was awesome. And yeah I agree with you Vicks, she is a great actress. I really liked her in Mystic River.
So yeah go see it Vicky when you get the chacne. It was fantastic.

Cool i definately will be seeing it as soon as it comes out.... i think it comes out here the end of next month so still a bit of a wait 
yeh Mystic River was a brilliant movie... she was also good in The Life of David Gale.... with Kevin Spacey.... you seen that one????
btw was this movie actually scary or more sort of suspensful ???

I don't think I seen that movie yet. I remember my sister rented it a while back like when it first came out but I didn't watch it. I wanted to but I can't remember why I didn't. lol. So she's good in that movie too?
Oh and the movie I guess is more scary then suspensful but theres only a few scenes of the possessed girl and the exorcism. Like I said, most of the movie is the court case and trials after Emily's death. But the scenes that are in there were a little scary I guess.
Oh and I was reading that true story all about her, the one that Nate posted and the 6 demons that possessed her, one of them had a different name in the movie.

The one named Hitler wasn't said in the movie but there was one named Legion that was one of the demons that possessed her (in the movie). That name wasn't in that story and it kind've caught my attention.
