Very cool promo! I liked the action scenes you picked lots of sayid is always good in my books And I really liked the way you used the punching on the beats to emphasize them There were some quick flashes in there and just rough bits and pieces that tend to go away the more vids you make; it was a great first video here at LVI Welcome! _________________

Great song choice for an action trailer! I particularly liked Sayid sort of stomping to the beat towards the end, very cool! |

Agreed with Kat (littleton pace) about 'a lot of Sayid is always a good thing.' So true. Anyway!
Good use of a lot of the VISUAL action scenes--including Locke with the stick as well as knives and punching and whatnot worked well. You've got a good eye for that sort of thing, from this, and I'd encourage you to stick to picking things which look exciting/interesting, as that's a skill in and of itself.
I thought the song was effective, but the beats on the cymbal crashes felt off to me: I think you could have used them more throughout the video, since whenever the chorus-from-hell has a big line on the cymbal crash, I was expecting to see a quick flash of something very dramatic. Sometimes there was one, but sometimes there wasn't. Since I've made tons of videos in WMM: You can figure that out by splitting the music before you apply the video bits, and that should help you capitalize a little bit more on the drama of a big song like this.
Good job! |
