Hey guys before you ask, yes I did "borrow" this idea from the Help For Haiti thing that was done at LJ xD
So me and the girls in my RS group (RS = Religious Studies if you don't know) are raising money for an Argentenian charity called Manos Abiertas. They help orphaned and unhomed children and adults - but mainly children - in Argentina and give them a comfortable home and primary education. However, their minibus has packed in. The school is miles away from the orphanage, so now they have to walk. And this is our mission - to raise money to buy a new minibus.
As my own way of contributing towards the fundraising, I've decided to "sell" videos. I will make anyone a video about anything with any music for any fandom (from the list below) for any amount of money - but I do ask that it's at least £2, y'know, so I don't make 10 videos and only raise £1
These are the following fandoms I can vid for you:
LOST
Dr Who
Torchwood
Glee
Cane
FlashForward
Futurama
Family Guy
American Dad!
The Simpsons
The Cleveland Show
Harry Potter
Stardust
Night At The Museum
Pirates Of The Carribean
High School Musical
Hairspray
Enchanted
The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas
Pride & Prejudice
Boot Camp
Extract
Max Payne
Blackadder
The Mighty Boosh
that's all I can think of right now as per fandoms... I'll have a check in the morning when I'm on my laptop and see what else I have
I guess that's all you need to know.... any questions, feel free to ask so request how you want, and please give generously also, if you feel particularly generous but can't think of a vid you want, donations are more than welcome
Oh yeah, as per actually giving me the money... I don't have PayPal (my parents won't let me ) so I'll accept postal orders, cash or cheque... PM me for the address to send it to if you have a problem with any of those methods, let me know and we can sort something out _________________

Not expecting you to be an expert, but:
* Which district in Argentina is the money going to? If BsAs, do you know what section thereof? (Recoleta and Palermo don't need it; La Boca and Villa 31 areas do.) I'm guessing it's likely not BsAs, though, as they could take the subte or the buses to their school within the city. All of the other cities that the organization's website says they serve are also fairly sizable and have public transportation, though, hence my curiosity.
* Do you know specifically how the money is being distributed? To be blunt: I have no objection with donating to religious charities, so long as the money is going to charity per se, as opposed to strictly religious teachings. I know you said the money's going to fund the purchase of a new bus, but is it going directly to that or being redistributed into Manos Abiertas' coffers?
Not trying to be skeptical; I merely know a good deal about NGOs in the area and so am curious. Provided the organization checks out, guys, please don't let this dissuade you from contributing. Argentina is still rebuilding from the Dirty War, and even a gorgeous city like Buenos Aires has five miles of cardboard-shack, unroofed-house slums surrounding it: I love the place, but it does need considerable help from any and all parties.
PS Las Malvinas son Argentinas. _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.

Trust you to ask difficult questions, Kate
Eh, I can't remember which city it's in, I think it's Buenos Aires... I'll ask my teacher when I get back to school
Don't worry, each and every penny goes directly towards the minibus fund. My teacher's daughter is running the minibus program so it goes through her
As for actually needing the bus, the school is in the middle of nowhere, with no direct routes anywhere near there, so they need to provide their own transportation _________________

That's what I'm here for, to ask difficult questions. So you see, I don't just have the Sayid avatar for his looks, after all! Haha.
But anyway: Thanks. I'll probably toss you some scratch once I know the answers to the above questions, but I'd like to know where the money's going, anyway. Now to figure out how best to be evil to you in the video request... mwahaha! _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.

I've had a lookie at the paper, the one we're focusing on is in Concordia as for the money, it's given to my teacher, whose daughter works with that specific orphanage in Concordia, teaching the kids English. She then sends the money to her daughter, who has taken charge of buying the new minibus. So basically, the money will go: you ---> me ---> my teacher ---> my teacher's daughter ---> minibus _________________
