Honestly, she was the first person I thought of when he said that too....I loved Shayid and this it's really a jerk move on the writers' parts to give them a relationship, kill her off, and have him completely forget about her? I mean, if he says that Nadia was the only thing he ever wanted, then what the hell was Shannon to him? It pisses me off, because I do believe that he loved them both, but he hasn't mentioned Shannon at ALL in soooo long. I can't even remember the last time he said her name, but I think it was in S2?
Pfft. I soo don't think Claire and Sayid are gone. The way I see it, no point in bringing Claire back if she couldn't COME back, and there are a few things she's done that have seemed like the old her. Singing "Catch a Falling Star" and being so happy to see Kate at first...that was like the old Claire. _________________

Yes it would. I am so for Jacob.
My friend designs shirts and I said, "You know what would be cool, a Team Jacob shirt with Jacob from Lost. And he was like "Oh my God, that would be cool. My friend has been wanting to do a Team Jacob with a Jacob that wasn't from Twilight. I so want a Team Jacob shirt. LOL. Sorry chatty. |

I felt he loved both, TBH.
Because when he was upset with Ben yelling at him about burying Shannon you could tell he loved her. |

I agree, and every interview with Emilie I've seen, she says this. the interviewer always says like "Claire is so crazy this year." and Emilie immediately says 'she's not crazy'. She's alone and driven and determined to do whatever it takes to get her baby back. here's one such interview...

I think she's also a tad bit gone too. Sure it has to do with missing Aaron her thought process isn't just based on that.
I believe she dying. Otherwise why did they complete the 'tests' that they did on Sayid?
There are more reasons to Claire being 'crazy' than Aaron being taken. |

Well, yeah. Being alone for three years would unhinge anyone. But I don't think she's dying.....because....I think she'd be dead by now if she was.
I think those "tests" were them trying to see if there was that darkness in them or whatever. Claire came pretty close to dying when her house exploded, and Sayid drowned....after they "came back" they were different. Claire seemed *really* quiet for most of S4 after her house exploded....then next thing we know she's off being all creepy in the cabin with Christian Shepherd.
Speaking of Christian Shepherd - d'you think he's on Jacob's side or MIB's side. I mean, he is Christian Shepherd....get it, a Christian shepherd, but I dunno.... _________________

I knew it reminded me of something! Now you mention that, does anyone else think maybe Locke and Boone were like, MIB's first "followers"? (Well, first of OUR guys, anyway.) Cuz thinking about it, I'm kinda thinking MIB was manipulating Locke from the very beginning. Like, all those visions Locke had back in S1, I think were from MIB, not Jacob. And then there was the whole thing where Locke said "I looked into the eye of this island and what I saw was beautiful," when he was looking at Smokey. _________________

Oooohhhh.....yeah, you're right, Elyse, he DID like ol' Smokey back in S1. And his vision in Further Instructions? Didn't Boone act a bit like FLocke does? Maybe I'm stretching it because I want Boone to be more important than he was....lol.
But then I'm slightly confused because our old Locke meant so well....but I guess anyone can be led astray, like Claire. _________________

I'm still confused over the whole Smokie thing...why did he kill Eko after taunting him with visions of Yemi? Was it a test? Did he fail? And why did Eko tell Locke and co. they were next? Were they next to be tested?
There was something else as well...now we know about MiB, I just keep thinking back to all the things ol' smokie has done and trying to fit together the pieces and see if it all makes sense |

I don't think those tests that were preformed on her were because of her house.
I believe Sayid 'coming back', had to do with the water.
They only take people who are extremely on the 'verge of death' IE, Ben was shot, and Sayid was too. Any longer they'd be dead. So there for I think something happened to Claire that we don't know about, that she was dying, and they saved her through the water. I don't believe it had to do with her house. And I don't think she was that different after her house exploded. She was quiet, but I mean her house exploded.
I think he's on Jacob's side. I don't know why, I just have that theory.
I have always believed that Christian is Christian. IE, only because they have never found the body. I think the island is a powerful thing that could do it. The people who were taken over by the Smoke Monster, we have seen their bodies.
Christian also seems to be helping too in my opinion. He helped Jack find the caves and the water.
I just think he's one of the good guys. I think Christian is supposed to work on his own redemption too. |

I always thought Christian was a good guy too....I dunno why they'd give him that name if he wasn't.
Yeah, I'm trying to piece the whole Smokey thing together as well....I never understood what the deal with Eko was. Maybe since Eko didn't "repent" or whatever, Smokey knew he wouldn't join him? Okay, I'm just kind of thinking as I type, so that probably doesn't make much sense. _________________

I think Smokey thought Eko would but Eko was very stubborn and was trying to be a better person. It was hard to get through to him.
There is someone on the internet who constantly tries to tell me that Christian is the smoke monster, but I just refuse to believe it.
There are some who think MIB is good, but I think it's the opposite. |

i dont think Christian can be the smoke monster now that Flocke is taking hold... can the monster be controlled by two people? I wouldnt think so. But maybe it was Christian in earlier seasons. dead body being controlled and all. I always took his name to be ironic. A name like Christian yet he's an alcoholic who neglects his son and cheats on his wife and has an illegitimate daughter he never sees. _________________
