I meant their fight at the start with Sayid flipping all over the place; it was awesome _________________

OMG! I slept through when it was aired because i had a long day, and woke up at 3 in the morning, went on Surf the Channel and then squealed so loud at the fight that I woke my husband up ^^; Sayid vs. Dogen = most epic fight of the century xD
Claire's glare up at Kate was just awesome! I really hope they fight soon, Claire would kick Kate's ass! Sure Kate's strong and all, but has she been living by herself on an island, fighting off Others, and shooting herself in the leg for 3 years? Nope. I don't think so OMG KEAMY! XD AND OMG JIN IN A FREEZER
As soon as Nadia opened the door, at the beginning of the episode, and I saw the ring on her finger I was like, OH COME ON!
I loved this episode and poor Dogen's Son, but at least we know he's alive in the flash sideways and he's 12...so does that make David 12?
I cannot WAIT for next week's episode, the promo looked awesome! If Ben dies my husband said he will officially stop watching the show (Ben is his all-time favorite character on television, not just on LOST). I love Lost to much to stop watching it all together, but i will be thoroughly PISSED if they kill off Ben! _________________ \~/Annie\~/

I really don't think Jacob messes with people for the hell of it. Doesn't it seem to anyone else that he really cares for Hurley, Jack, and the rest? And nothing MIB has done seems remotely "good"... So yeah, I'm not buying any of FLocke's crap. _________________

Miles is still alive!!!!
*carlton dances*
LOVED the ending of this. Gave me goosebumps! This episode had the kind of atmosphere that Lost hasn't had in a long time. It really does have a feeling of being back in s1.
EXTREME LACK OF SAWYER.
and I'm still really sick of Miles purpose to stand their being snide and generally looking bamboozled.
Evangeline has really been givign some great performances this year. I'm mentioning this cause it's easy to overlook her when you have awesome performances so far by Josh, Terry and this week Naveen. But I think she's doing a greta job, as well as Emelie. Give the girls some credit. They're doing so well considering how poorly female charcters are written in this show at times.
Anyone else love how Ben was like "I'LL GO GET HIM!" . It was really refreshing for once to see Ben shown as a "good guy". kinda. I miss Ben. There's not been enough of him so far! _________________

yeh, that's what I felt too!! Definitely got that feeling that the old eps gave me I'm so glad, I hope it continues
Extreme lack of Sawyer, but Claire said his name so I was thrilled in my ConMama brain But I didn't miss him, or hurley, jack, etc, as much as I think i would have if they rest of the show wasn't so great. Unlike the earlier eps, I didn't feel like this one dragged on and took forever to get to the point. I mean, Kate found Claire and told her about Aaron, Sun knows Jin's alive and nearby plus her gang arrived at The Temple, Dogen and translater guy are dead (not that im happy about that, but at least we're moving forward in the story), and we all left the Temple.
I do wonder what's going to happen to Miles... he doesn't really have a connection to anyone except his dad, but I have a bad feeling he's gonna be a gorgeous dead man this year
the girls have been kicking ass this year, I give props to Ilana, to have to come into a show in its last season and be a strong female leader is tough. But i like her I wanna know more about her Yunjin just needs some more screentime now Not that i'll start complaining, cos I'm getting so much claire this year But I agree, everyone is bringing out their A-game for season 6 and I'm glad of it!
and yes, i loved good guy ben I actually found it so cute when he said that, never thought I'd say that about Ben ;P _________________

well i expected a better reunion between kate and claire since all i hear from kate was claire claire claire but whatever crazy claire is so much fun. Sayid is badass in both realities in the island timeline and in the timeline days of our lives...ep 1232 Love someone while you married to someone else!!
Im Team Jacob for many reasons. I think Flocke is using and manipulates people to get them do his work. I think the reason Sayid didnt killed him it was because he is not the perfect for the job aka one more candidate is out,
Ben and Sayid scene. Well i admit I love Ben this season you can all kill me. Sayid is evil now ,the scene with keamy lol i liked keamy there at least he didnt wear military suit LOL!!
The shephard lullaby turned to a creepy song. the last scene where MIB creates his army is kinda scary with claire and sayid being so happy ...while kate is having WTF face .
I dont think kate went so easily in his side. I still have her in the good side. |

Wow, this has been my fave episode so far, so much is starting to happen. It sorta felt like the penultimate episode with what was happening with everything. I love how the side "light" and "dark" have continued, it's gone back to a series 1 feel and I love it
I loved the connections in Sayid's AU, with Keamy and Jin
Again another great episode |

I just loved the end; very creepy and effective. Although the dead bodies were horrible...but it was a powerful ending.
Gah, I love Miles. He's the best. "Still hot, though" xD And I liked the little Kate/Miles scenes - "Wow." when she came back
Claire really scares me now. I thought she was going to do some neck snappin' when Kate told her she had been raising Aaron. I wish she had told her that her mum woke up and now has Aaron...maybe she would have been less angry
Um, disappointed in the Sun scene whe she found out about Jin "What? He's alive? O Rly?" Come on, 3 years they've been apart and she's just found out he's really alive! They're reunion better be good. I really want them back together!
How weird is it I liked Keamy in this I was disappointed he died in this world too |

Sayid is not evil. I will not believe that. He is either trying to infiltrate FLocke from within, or else he thinks FLocke is the good guy, like Claire does. Because, like that one dude said, she's just a very confused girl.
All right, end of that episode, with everyone followed FLocke off through the firelight into the dark....was I the only one who thought of Locke leading Boone off into the dark jungle at the end of Hearts & Minds? Probably, but I wonder if that was intentional....
Oh yeah, Alt!Keamy is still an asshat. Was very happy with Sayid killed him. Again.
Why is Alt!Nadia married to Sayid's brother?? This did NOT make me happy. _________________

You and me both. Couple that with the fact that Sayid seems like he's the only one with brains on the island at times--it seems like he'd be harder to fool, or tempt into evil, than some of the others. (I'd also note that Sayid's belief in Islam would have him keep far away from FLocke's temptations, too; he's committed lots of offenses (drinking, premarital sex) but does seem to be genuinely pious, as we've seen him reciting the shahadah ("no God except God," in Danielle's trap) and salawat (prayers)--on the ship with Sun and Jin and later by the helicopter before he covers up Naomi.)
From an outside-the-show angle, too, it would seem too obvious: Of course the guy who has a history that lots of viewers would perceive as evil outright (in correct ways: torture; in incorrect ways: racist bias) would fall for FLocke's tricks. So I'm hoping it's not going to be that patently obvious. (And to echo my recommendation from earlier, Reel Bad Arabs: Read it, people.)
Quote: | Why is Alt!Nadia married to Sayid's brother?? This did NOT make me happy. |
The only thing I can figure is to illustrate that ultimate happiness/polar opposite lives aren't just going to magically occur. Ie, if the plane didn't crash, he'd find Nadia, but she'd still be unattainable in that sense, because she's married to his brother. It would be too easy to just have them hook up again in lieu of the crash.
I do like Nadia, but I can see this as being more 'realistic' of an alternate-universe portrayal than it would be if they just had some sort of fairytale romance alternate life. I think we'll know if they're going realistic-as-opposed-to-fairytale if Sawyer's flashback still has him kind of screwed by life, too. _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. Bah. I don't care about realistic. I want fairy tales.
This is why I'm almost eighteen and adore Taylor Swift. ^^ _________________

Addendum. Quote from TPTB (per the Washington Report on Middle Eastern Affairs); pardon the quote's slight cheese factor:
Damon Lindelof wrote: | “It was always our intent to make Sayid heroic, intelligent and romantic,” Lindelof said. “The fact that he’s also Iraqi was never meant to define him, it was simply a way of making audiences potentially question their own ethnic/religious stereotypes as they (hopefully) fall in love with Sayid as much as we did.” |
So at least they are (or were, as the quote dates from 2005) aware of the anti-Middle Eastern bias (although I will note, as much as I like Naveen, that casting an Anglo-Indian defeats that purpose a little). Given that awareness, I cannot believe that they'd ultimately go the bad guy route with him. _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.

Agreed. I mean, haven't they always tried to make Sayid more than a stereotypical Middle Eastern-er? _________________

Sayid's scene with Nadia broke my heart. You obviously knew they loved one another. And the joke her brother made was him trying to make light of a situation because his brother obviously knew Sayid and Nadia had feelings for one another.
But when Sayid told her that he wasn't good enough to be with her, and it's why he pushed her away, was so sad.
I do think Claire and Sayid are gone. I believe that this MIB is going to be able to manipulate A LOT of weak minded people. Right now Claire and Sayid are weak minded because they are obviously not themselves.
For Sawyer, I never thought he was extremely strong willed. Doesn't mean there is anything wrong with him, and it happens.
Ben, I think it took Ben a lot longer of a time to be manipulated and it's why the smoke monster played as Alex.
I also believe that MIB doesn't view the island as just an island. I think it's a way of his manipulation.
I think there will be a showdown between the team Jacob has put together and the team that MIB has put together. |

Just a random thought. This is SO unlikely seeing as this was a heavy Sayid/Nadia episode but wouldn't it be cool if when Sayid said "the only thing I ever wanted died in my arms" he was talking about Shannon, who also died in his arms?? I really want Shannon back! I think I probably liked them together better than Sayid/Nadia... |
