Just watched The Talented Mr. Ripley. OMG. It was awesome. Jude Law = adorable, and the ending was SHOCKING AND AMAZING. I srsly loved that movie.

I just saw the Lovely Bones. Did you guys see it/enjoy it?

Personally, I read the book first and was utterly confused and somewhat appalled at the job they did adapting it to film. I think it's probably the worst book to film adaptation I've ever seen, which is sad, because I liked a few of the actors in it quite a bit. I completely understand that not all of the details can be put into the movie, but this was ridiculous. It was completely random, they cut out a very important subplot, things happened out of order than they did in the book (which I thought was really weird!), and they literally cut out the second half of the book and then pasted some lines and clips from the end of the book to the end of the movie. :S It was really really weird. But I did enjoy the book, it was fantastic. xD I was just wondering what other people thought of it, cuz I was pretty confused.

Awww...that disappoints me Sass. Maybe I'll have to see the movie first and then read the book - I got the book with the intention of reading it before the movie, but I just didn't have the time to get around to it....

Was it at least a good movie, in spite of how horrible an adaptation it was? I can usually deal with bad adaptations as long as they're still good movies in & of themselves. Kinda like Goblet of Fire - way off from the book, but it's still one of the best Potter movies to date....

Hmmm...movies seen recently? I watched 'Yes Man' this weekend and I really enjoyed it. Very cute & I laughed a lot. But I've always loved Jim Carrey.

I also saw "Up in the Air" a few weeks ago and I highly recommend it - it's a bit slow going, but it's a lot funnier than I think they let on in the previews. It's very heart warming & the acting is wonderful....if you want something that's not too heavy-handed, it's a good movie to see

It had a cool style to it and Dempsy Jr. was amazing. The dark humor was a nice touch too.

I heard The Wolfman wasn't that great but the effects were amazing. I might see it just for that.

Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, again.

Because my satellite TV is out at the moment and I'm stuck with what's on my TiVo box. (Not that I dislike David Bowie, you understand...)

Ahh, David Bowie, you never fail to entertain...

I saw Who's Eating Gilbert Grape and spotted Locke's dad. His character died of a heart attack.
