Has anyone watched the show, 'Trueblood' on HBO? The show is pretty good, but the books are even better! There's like eight of them so far, and they take a little while to get through. The first one is called, "Dead Until Dark" by Charlaine Harris.
Everyone should go read them! Everyone! _________________ <3 Jourdan

Is anyone else other than me watching this show? My sis got into it, so I watched the first few episodes online, and now I'm hooked. I love this show!!!
It's campy and filled with sex and blood and everything, but omg, it's so awesome!! And it has a really good cast - seriously, everyone on the show is incredible! Especially the actress who plays Tara - she's wonderful!!
My only problem is that Anna Paquin's southern accent is really awful, but other than that, the show is great!! _________________

Unfortunately I think that accent is natural... lol listen to her talk in X-men! I always used to make fun of her because it sounded southern! (And I had a big crush on the guy that played Iceman- I was only like 13!)
I love Lafayette, he isn't that big in the books. He cracks me up everytime he's on screen. _________________ <3 Jourdan

Omg, I adore Layfayette!! He's my favorite character!! I love that part when the stupid hicks send back the burger and he totally calls them on it, and is like "you eat the food the way I make it!!" That was awesome!!
I really want to read the books now...I might have to go get the first one this weekend.
Spoiler:
Did you see the last episode? I can't believe Bill & Sookie finally did it. And I can't believe she let him bite her!! Eeekkk!! I'm so excited to see what happens after this!!

Yay!! I'm so addicted too. I'm so addicted, I went out and started reading the books (I'm gonna start book 3 today). The books are super fun too, but the show seems to be deviating from them a bit....
I'm so stoked to see the last two episodes, I can't wait!! _________________

Finally got around to watching this I've only seen the first 4 eps but its really cool! I did not expect the vamps to be like part of society; that's such a cool idea I'm sure I'll get used to the accents
little shocked to see Ryan Kwanten, who was a sweet guy on an Australian soap years ago, going down on a woman in his first scene
I watched both seasons and really enjoyed it...when I first watched I hated the southern accents it was almost unbearable...but as the time went on i guess i got used to it the end _________________ Kimmy

One of my friends describes it as a supernatural soap opera with skin and naughty language and I find that to be quite true, lol! I tend to skip some of the storylines and just watch for the ones I like the most, anything with Eric is always a given, lol! ♥!
I definitely want to check out the books, Amazon has a box set of the first 8 paperbacks for $38 which would be a great deal if I knew I really wanted all 8! Hate to pay that for something I don't know for sure I'll like, you know?
Anyway, glad you've had the chance to see the first 4 eps, Kat!
Kimmy, I was the same, the accents drove me up the wall for a while (which is weird because most of my family have southern accents, lol! ) but a lot of times they seem too forced or something. I think Stephen Moyer has definitely settled into his accent better as time has gone on. (I feel for him having to say Sookie in an accent he's not used to, no wonder it comes out as "Sucky" on occasion, lol! )
