I just recently had to get my hard drive wiped-managed to save everything, but WMM had to get reinstalled...I vid with Vegas, but I use WMM to clip avi files.
The problem is now my WMM says I don't have the right codec to import avi files, and I have a bunch of episodes of things I need to clip and convert to wmv....anyone know what I can do? _________________

The free DivX codec should cure what ails WMM when it comes to .AVI. You don't have to take any of the trials it'll offer you (at least you never used to have to, I'm presuming that this current version is the same ). I went ahead and installed the DivX player as well because I come across quite a few vids that are encoded in .divx that require the player to be able to watch them but that's totally up to you whether or not to install the player with the codec. Just the codec itself should fix the problem.
Good luck, hon! I know how hard it is after your system's been wiped and you have to start all over again installing everything! |
