At the beginning of the scene between Jack and Kate with the marshal's suitcase in episode 16, Kate hands Jack a little white stick thing and says, "Thanks for the loner." Just what the heck is she talking about? And what was that white stick thing? This has been bugging me ever since I saw that episode so if anyone knows please tell me. _________________ Lost - the show that got me hooked on creamy peanut butter.

She's talking about the gun, and she hands him a bullet. _________________

He didn't loan her the gun though. Sawyer gave it to her. And if that was a bullet it sure was strange looking. _________________ Lost - the show that got me hooked on creamy peanut butter.

I guess the "loner" was the bullet, seeing as how he gave her the bullets.. |

Magazine? Eh? I still don't get it. Oh well. As long as I know it was a bullet. Ugh...I just realized I spelled 'loaner' wrong. _________________ Lost - the show that got me hooked on creamy peanut butter.

well, I think she hands him the magazine first, and then a single bullet which catches the light and looks a bit white for a few frames. I think that's what you saw. _________________

Seems like there is a little confusion or as Cool Hand Luke might say "What we have here...is a failure to communicate." BLAM. Okay, nevermind.
If I am being too simplistic here forgive me because I don't know your firearms knowledge.
Here is a pic to illustrate the magazine we are referring to.
I made a little mistake in the label. It should say 7 to 15 rounds. There might be higher capacity magazines but I believe 15 is max for stock ones.

Lol! Now it makes sense! I was like, "Why the hell would Kate be holding a magazine?" I was thinking magazine like you read. Haha. Thanks for clearing that up, MoreLight.

Just passing along the info dude.
So long as you don't poke fun at others when they ask the same question you did, I'm cool with not knowing.
If everyone knew everything from birth we wouldn't need books or schools. |

I was cracking up halfway through reading this thread realizing that poor Lost Soul didn't know what KIND of magazine you were referring to! Don't worry Lost Soul, I was laughing WITH you, not AT you.
And then I went into further hysterics when I saw the great illustration. Fan-Tastic! |

Lol. Thanks, I appreciate that.
Oh, and it's Last Soul, not Lost. Everyone gets that confused. _________________ Lost - the show that got me hooked on creamy peanut butter.
