I've noticed that most videos have very clear and fantastic pictures uploaded with them.

However, when I create mine and upload it with my video, it's very blurry and seems far off.

So, my question is, how do you make such a clear picture and keep it within the size limitations? Not the KB limits, but the actual pixel size. I make mine the exact size it should be, but it's very blurred. Check out the pictures for my Diary of Jate Remake and Season 4 Recap.

Any advice or suggestions to what I may be doing wrong? |

				A couple of questions...

What program are you using? Also, do you make your picture at a larger size, then resize it at the end to meet the 201x113 pixel size requirement? I find I get better quality by working at that small size all along. I also use a sort of unorthodox method to resize my original pictures but I don't know how well it works with anything other than Paintshop Pro 8, which is what I have. |

I use Corel Paint Shop Pro X2.

I work with a small size all along. However, I think the issue might be is that I choose the option to save it for the web, because the file size limit is 20KB and I think with the effects I use in the picture would put it over. Is that the problem and if so, how do I make sure it's under 20KB without the picture being so blurred?

For example: My avatar is 120 x 120 and 24.2 KB without saving it specifically for the web. |

Try just saving it straight-up as a .jpg and see how it comes out. I used Paintshop Pro 8 and that's what works for me. You can see any of my vid pics for an example of how it turns out. I have had the .jpg end up being too large after I first save it. So what I do is close out the file then open it again and resave it as a .jpg again. That usually does the trick. |
