Okay I was just looking at my old videos and had a big clearup because some of them are embarassingly bad Partly to the fact that I've been putting up with windows movie maker. Basically I want sony vegas now, because the videos I've seen with it are stunning, and I don't think that I can create that effect with WMM.
What I'm asking though, is what the majority of people use? 'Cause there all kinds of different sony vegas' as far as i'm aware, well I'm on a website right now which has loadsss of different sorts and I have no idea LOL. So please recommend _________________

Okay thank you, i'll have a little research about that one now
Just another thing, is it just simply called Sony Vegas 7, or has it gone some special name for it like movie editor or whatever?

hope you don't mind if I put a query in your topic Lizzie, just wanted to ask something quick about Vegas
Does anyone here use Vegas or similar programme on a Windows Vista PC/Laptop? Because I've heard Vista can be slow and since I was thinking of shifting my Vegas 8.0 onto here and using the clips off an external hard drive as my other computer is a bit of a bother atm. Just wanted to know if that was a good idea? Any Windows Vista people out there?
Thanks!! _________________

Yeah, i use it on my laptop and it has Vista. ANd i used to use it on our old family comp, but on my laptop Vegas is MUCH faster that may have something to do with the fact I have graphics cards and extra ram and space and stuff but ive never had any problems with it in Vista _________________

I was told by the man who sold me the laptop that it had 1GB ...i think it would be RAM? and said that it wouldn't be able to run a number of applications but surely running Vegas on its own is alright?
Thanks btw _________________

yeah, that'd be ram since you need like minimum 15GB just to run normal Windows programs and stuff ;P But 1GB is plenty for Vegas I have 2GB cos I have games and stuff on my laptop and the more RAM you have, the better graphic/speed and stuff ;P but my vegas has pretty much worked the same from when i first got it (it had 1GB to begin with) til i had more RAM put in _________________

Excellent and its possible to just use the clips whilst connected to an external hard-drive? I wouldnt have to save the clips to my laptop? _________________

Yup I have all my Lost, Supernatural, the Office, etc full episodes on my external harddrive; that's the whole reason i got it because MAN they clog up a comp, lol _________________
