Is there a way to guarentee that your vid can be shown in HQ on youtube? Because some of my vids have that option and some don't. I figured it had something to do with it's rendering or something, but i render all my vids the same way. Is there anything i can do while vidding that will make them render in HQ?? _________________ Morgan

You have to render it in HQ before it goes onto youtube In Vegas; I use WMV 3mbs (or mps, i can never remember) for HQ and then when it loads into youtube; the option is just there
this might help:
ahhh; its mBs _________________

that's weird... i've never had to like go into youtube and specify that i want one in HQ. im not sure if there's an option for that. they're may very well be i do know that after it renders, it takes say 10 mins or so, depending on your net speed, for the HQ option to become available ;P its not instant; at least not for me _________________

I've noticed that a lot of my vids (newer ones even) aren't in HQ and some are. It's really odd. :s I was wondering this myself, Morgan. Are you sure that all of them are in HQ, Kat? Or just ones you've noticed? That's odd. :/ _________________

no, they all are since i started rendering in HQ in vegas. i always go back and double check that the HQ option is there just after i render a vid before i post the links up on LVI, i've never had a problem with it before im trying to remember my first HQ vid...It was how do i deal, my Kana one. then i loaded my next two in LQ cos it took forever to load the HQ and my net was being really slow, and then from Unlovable on they're all in HQ _________________

Ooh; i was thinking, youtube is known for shutting down for a day and then when you log back in they change stuff and dont really tell you about; so i thought I'd go have a looksee and if you go into your account and then into Playback Setup; you can choose:
*Choose my video quality dynamically based on the current connection speed.
*I have a slow connection. Never play higher-quality video.
*I have a fast connection. Always play higher-quality video when it's available.
So maybe if you fiddle with them on your vids the option might come up for HQ? _________________

I also read a while ago, dunno if it still stands, that the video has to be at least 480x360 in size _________________

If you make your video 640x360 it will be widescreen now I render my videos in 1 meg bit rate then it's not such a big download but still looks good on YT. You need to go into the custom settings and change the ratio and the bit rate. _________________
