I believe you did. You're the one who gave me the fourcc thing in the first place...unless I just dreamed it. Very possible. xD jk
Thanks for the ideas! I'll try. If I install this, it won't like...kill Vegas, will it? Cuz I've done things like this before, and it just stopped my files from working. Vegas is such a pain sometimes. _________________

Thanks Paul. and lol I thought that same thing. I was like "any video converter? Isn't that a bit vague?" _________________

I don't think it will. At least, I never had any problems with Vegas and codecs. But you can try the converter first, you'll be on the safe side with converted wmv- or mpeg-files. _________________

That didn't work either. I have a feeling it just isn't gonna work. Thanks for all your help, everyone! I'll just try to convert the file, I suppose, though it's 700MB, so it'll take a while... it's better than nothing, though. Thanks again. _________________

Will your WMM open AVI files? That's what I use when I need sound with my AVIs. I open up the episode/whatever in WMM, clip out the scene(s) that I need (so I don't have to render the entire thing) then convert that into a WMV clip (you can do just the audio but I like to bring the video with it just in case I need to see how it should be synced and I just find it easier to make it WMV). Then I just import that into Vegas and line the audio up where it needs to go. It would definitely be easier if Vegas could just handle AVI audio and video but so far I haven't had any luck getting that to work reliably. |

Thanks Ais. Unfortunately, I already tried that, and my WMM wouldn't open it for some reason. It's a 700MB file... lol So that could have to do with it. It's funny, I tried that earlier, then Freya suggested I do that, then you... I'm sure it works normally, but just not for me, cuz of the file size....and cuz my computer is mean.
Oh well, Paul gave me a converter (Allok) that seems to be working pretty well. The only problem is that it's a trial version and will only convert half of it... so when I want to convert the other half, I have no idea how that's gonna work... I don't think I'll be able to. It's better than nuffin though. _________________
