So, when I import most avi's into Adobe Premiere Pro CS3, they come without audio! But if I play them with windows media player they DO have audio. So is my Premiere missing some kind of codec reader or something? I just want to be able to use footage audio. Mp3's and other audio files work fine, it's just avi's I think. Can anyone help?

eta: no responses? I'm guessing no-one here knows enough about premiere to help. Oh well I'll try asking in another forum maybe

Hey, I'm a PPro user. When I drag an AVI onto the timeline I have to wait for it to 'conform' before I can hear the audio. Maybe it's taking a long time to conform?

Or is there not even audio on the track?
