I used to think that as soon as Aaron was born the worm was gonna come and eat it... _________________

.......You're insane. jk But they don't usually kill babies on network television. Not main character babies anyway. xD A giant worm would have been weird...but so are tons Lost theories, so it could have happened. lol _________________

Lol, giant worms. That would have been quite odd. I can't think of any really crazy theories I've had. I did come up with the Anthony Cooper = the real Mr. Sawyer theory before I ever saw it on the Internet, but that turned out to be not so crazy after all, huh? _________________

Yeah, I thought about Anthony Cooper being the real Sawyer back when he stole Locke's kidney. But back then, it seemed far fetched and like a cool thing that could happen, but we didn't really expect it to. lol _________________

The worm was like the grim reaper of the island. It came and took you away.
Again, this was all the way back in Season 1. There was supposed to be crazy theories because we knew nothing yet. _________________

Yeah, that's how it was with me, I kinda thought of it back when I was watching season one...I ran the theory past my parents and they were all, "Pssht, no way." Then we found out it was true and I got to say I-told-you-so. ^_^ lol _________________

This is kinda random and doesn't tie in with the latest episodes really, but you know the whispers that they hear in the jungle sometimes? Know what I think they are? I think they're like the ghosts or spirits of people who have died on the island or at the hands of someone on the island. If you go on lostpedia.com you can read transcripts of the whispers, and it's really interesting.
Transcripts of the whispers:

I think that the Island somehow prevents the Losties from dying, once they've left the Island. e.g. when Michael attempted to kill himself numerous times the gun wouldn't work and he still survived crashing his car. Also when Jack tried to kill himself, that car crashed behind him at the most opportune time.
I have no real reason as to why. But Tom seemed so casual about Michael's failed suicide attempts as if the Island, or even Jacob, are playing God. _________________

That's kind of not a crazy theory, that's what Tom told us. Darlton also kinda sorta confirmed that that's what was going on. But I see what you mean, and it could be true...though Tom could be just making it up to manipulate him. _________________

I was thinking about what Dan said about the bomb not going off because the Island still exists 50 years in the future and of course, how he told Sawyer last week that he couldn't meet Des because he hadn't...
So I wonder if that's how "the Island" wouldn't let Michael kill himself before he got on the freighter and then of course eventually got blown up. He couldn't die before then because he had to be alive to die when the freighter blew up. But then, that would make the Island tangled up somehow with time itself, wouldn't it? (And Michael wasn't going back and forth from the past to the future and back again like Sawyer, Dan and the gang.) But still! I've always wondered how the Island somehow controlled events that occurred off Island. Is it because the Island is somehow entwined into time?
And maybe is that why the people who die there don't really stay totally dead and why women who get pregnant on the Island can't seem to survive the pregnancy? Life and death neither one can happen like they're supposed to because of how the Island is tangled up with time?
I know they've sworn up and down that the Island isn't going to be purgatory but I'm wondering now if when the electromagnetic whatsit that crashed the plane didn't somehow change all the Losties at some sort of cellular level, kinda making them part of the Island itself. Then with some of them now gone, the Island is all out of balance, which is what's causing the careening through time thing that's happening with Sawyer, Dan and the gang (they sound like a band, lol! ). Dan's metaphor about time being a stream that self-corrects is what made me think that maybe the Losties are literally a part of the Island/time and it's all trying to self-correct to get all of its pieces back together again.
That would also explain how the Island is able to make use of the images of all of the Losties who died there. They're part of the Island itself now, even in death...
Anyway, just some thinky thoughts passing through my head and I thought I'd share! |
