|

I've been taking an animation class at school. this was my final project for it, and probably the only one that I can be proud of! LOL The rest were.... well, not so great! but they weren't bad considering this is my first year!

Everything you see there was made from scratch by me, except for that kid... he was a template... but still! In animation, you create the 3d objects, then move them using frames and yaddayaddayadda nevermind! Complicated!
But this just goes to show how much vidding skills can improve one 8 second animation! LOL
Check out the license plate
Anyway, I'm no good at intros! Watch the video! LOL |

You could if you spent upwards of 50 hours on it Yeah, sad, isn't that? Imagine how long "Finding Nemo" took
Yay! You saw the license plate! LOL "EVR" wouldn't fit |

well, I got 98% in the course, losing 2% because I was absent two days without notice (I had notes! arghhhhh ) And on Tuesday I'll be getting a certificate of achievement!
But all I am is good in comparison... everyone else just spent their entire course playing Pocket Tanks on the internet LOL. I happened to actually do the work, so I got marks for it... go figure...
It's a fun course, I hope to take it again but man, is it annoying working for SO long on something, with only this wee thing to show for it all!
Oh well, I do have a 3D model of the car in my hardrive still . I need the proper program to open it up though. But if I ever wanted to, say, make it go off a jump, then that would only be a matter of minutes, rather than 60 hours heheh |

Yeh I can't believe who long it takes to create animation, especially with all these 3D movies (Finding Nemo/Madagascar/Incredibles etc) coming out.
Does anyone actually know roughly how long some of those movies took to create?... I'd say it's be a matter of years wouldn't it... I mean I've heard they call in all the voice actors and that's all done in a matter of weeks but to complete the final product would take a lot longer I'd say. _________________ Pirates 3 - MAY 25th 2007!!! |

Oh, I'd say about a year or so... they probably do have about 150 animators (actually... that sounds like a small number ) working simultaneously on the project, each running different scenes. They're probably a LOT more efficient than me at it too and they probably each have different jobs, such as a certain number who model the objects, then others who animate, then more who do final details and such... |

Hobbes (Warren)(whatever else you might like to be called):
That was truly fantastic. Animation is hard work and I think you've got a great start going. Keep it coming.
I can't wait until we see a fully animated Lost music video, from anyone. That will be awesome.
Very nice work Hobbes. _________________

heheh, that's secretly been my plan for the "no clips" contest, if we ever do it but how to go about working for upwards of 100 hours on it! THAT's the question lol |
