Alright.... so I went with my family to see this film last night.

And let me tell you.

I had high expectations going into it because I adore Frank Darabont (he is the only director to ever properly adapt a Stephen King story to the screen). I loved both The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile (they are two of my favorite movies) and so I was looking forward to this.

Well. I had every reason to expect good things.

And it was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean that. It really was. Had you on the edge of your seat pretty much from the start... it was some piss your pants scary kind of stuff... and it had amazing acting. The characters were phenomenal (but hey, it's Stephen King) and the story was good. Everything was going so well.

Until the last five minutes. That has got to be the worst ending to a movie I have EVER seen. I cried and SCREAMED at the screen.

My suggestion is, if you're going to see this film, leave when

Spoiler: The huge creature with big legs walks over the car and shakes it really bad.

You'll save yourself a lot of heart ache.

But I'm not saying it wasn't good. It was great. Except for the end.

I really didn't like it at allllllll....

Sam Witwer was good in it though! (The soldier with the girlfriend.)

I liked Thomas Jane as the Punisher, but in this movie he didn't act very well, IMO. Good acting means in My Opinion that i really believe the actor when he cries and shows emotions etc. and in this movie i didn't believe Thomas Jane ^^

Furthermore there were this scene ... when they drive with their car through the mist, it's so ... i thought "when does it finnaly end? What is this all about?"

And as you already said, the endling was .. -.-* it's probably the WORST ENDING OF A MOVIE EVER! It SO unsatisfying!!! =(

Altogether i wouldn't call this movie bad, it was quite good, but it's IMO one of those movies u watch one time and then never again ...

I happened to have read the short story before going to the see it, and I have to say I liked the short story better then the movie.
There was no ending in the short story.
