Is there a way to make the lens fare function move around in the clip, as opposed to staying one spot? |

Yes there is! Let me grab some screencaps...
First move the lens flare in the box that says Light Position where you want it to start at.
Then:
1. Click the end of the timeline
2. Click the plus button to create a keyframe (the little triangle deal that now appears on the timeline where you clicked)
3. Drag the lens flare where you want it to end at
And that's it! When you preview the scene, the lens flare should now move across the screen from the starting point to the ending point! That's the magic of keyframing, which is one of Vegas' most powerful features, in my opinion.
Hope that makes sense! |

What about putting clips on top of each other? Does anyone know how to do that? So they play at the same time. Do you know what I mean? |

There are a few different ways to do that, depending on if you want it to be a split-screen (fairly even split of the screen with one clip on one side and a second clip on the other) or if you want a picture-in-picture sort of look where you have one main clip and a second clip playing on that clip.
Either way, try this thread. The posts at the top where I was answering littleton_pace are for picture-in-picture. Down at the bottom of that same page where I answered Jack_has_no_chance, there are instructions for a more traditional split-screen effect. If neither of those answers your question, be sure to speak up and let us know what your particular trouble is. |
