Hi everyone! I have a slight problem...SLIGHT!
Okay, so this sucks.....I downloaded the sony vegas trial 7 because to buy it would be a tad out of my price range.... Anyway I installed it and everything successfully but now when I load it up it says The feature I am trying to use is on a network which is unavailable.
For SOME reason it wants to install it on corel snapfire folder which I'm sure I deleted! I've tried saving it to other places. It's hard to explain. It wants me to enter an alternative path to a folder containing the installation package 'snapfire.msi'
I don't get it. I'm currently trying to upload a screen cap of the message but it's not working
Does anyone know what I'm talking about? And can anyone please X1000 help me? |

Oh I wish I could help but I have no clue what's going on there! It sounds like something just went wrong with the installation process and it was first installed in the Corel Snapfire folder or something... (On a side note, I hate that program. It got bundled in with something of mine and I've had to fight to keep it from taking over when I want to use my Paintshop Pro! I finally managed to remove it but sometimes I still get strange folders in My Documents that makes me think that it's still there! So I know how it can cause problems! )
I've never tried the Vegas trial, so I'm not sure if they'll let you uninstall the trial, then install it again, which would probably be your best chance at getting it to work correctly.
Here's the Sony official support site You might be able to poke around there and see if you can find anything that could help you. I'm sorry not to be of any real help to you! I hope you're able to get it worked out! |

I'll try installing it again but I reckoned if I uninstalled it it wouldn't download again =P

You might also try uninstalling Corel Snapfire (if you don't want it, of course ). You can check Start - Control Panel - Add or Remove Programs and see if it's even listed there. If it is, you can choose to uninstall it and see if hopefully that will keep it from messing up your Vegas trial. I don't want to tell you to do anything that will mess you up further, though! And since Vegas seems to think that it's INSIDE of Corel Snapfire, that might end up removing the Vegas trial as well. I hate it when these things won't just work right, argh!
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! |

arg, this ALWAYS happens to me!
Oh well. I'm getting a laptop soon So I'll try installing it on that one. T'is a shame it won't work but maybe it'll work on the laptop when/if I get it =] Thanks for your help, I don't know if there's anything else I can do |

Oh, what a shame! So sorry that whatever went wrong is continuing to go wrong. Here's hoping you have much better luck with your new laptop! |
