Contest: Anti-Ship Contest Deadline: June 30th

The Details

Jack said "I love you" to Kate.
Oh no, here comes the torrent of shipper videos.

Is this becoming a regular incident for you? Are you coming to dread those thousands of shipper vids that seem to be swamping LVI with their...shippyness? is it making you mad those vids get all the attention? Or, better yet, are you just sick and tired of making your couple look romantic all the time? Well, now's your chance to take out that anger!
As per IamSoLostRightNow's suggestion, we are having an Anti-Ship contest this month. The goal is to create a video that, instead of painting your couple in a romantic way, shows them at their worst, most angsty, least made-for-each-other way possible. Everything a shipper vid does, this is doing the opposite of! Finally get a chance to take out your frustration at Jack and Kate's drama-filled relationship by making a video about just how much they hate each other. Or show just how annoying those Skate vids can be by making a vid showing how they're really REALLY not meant to be a couple. The possibilities are endless!

Well, actually, they're not endless. We've got a couple restrictions:
1. No using that "I Hate Everything About You" song. WAY too easy! (Ditto for other REALLY obvious ones)
2. Canon (i.e. real) ships only, unless you can convince us otherwise.

Other than that, the rest is up to you! So go out there, and desecrate those ships!

The Rules

Specific Contest Rules:

* -The more creative, the better. Don't be afraid to take risks.
* -Running time should be no longer than 5 minutes. We suggest the 3 - 5 minute range.
* -When entering your video on the Submit page, you MUST enter "June 2007 contest submission" exactly in your vid's Description.

General Contest Rules:

* -Contest submissions should be entered through the Submit page
* -All regular submissions Rules apply.
* -Only one entry per vidder
* -Videos already submitted and RELEVANT can be submitted again, but we would rather see something fresh. (Please contact a CM if you wish to enter a previously-submitted video)
* -Please do not use Megaupload, Rapidshare or Yousendit to host your files.
* -Keep in mind that however you choose to host your video, it must be available for download at least until the end of the month. If we can not access your video at the time of judgment it will not be considered.
* -Have fun!

I am reserving Shut Up by the Black Eyed Peas as I was already doing an A.S.S. vid for them, that is so wierd, I sugested an A.S.S. vid challeng on Lost-forum because A.S.S. has gone a bit stale at late.

BTW Hobbes, can we do ensemble A.S.Ses instead of just a specific ship?

i would LOVE to portake in this contest, but i think it would be better for me just to do all the vids that are swimming in my head before i do a contest. What an awesome contest idea!

I absolutely have to finish my Sweet Charity vids before I can justify working on an entry for this, but I'm'a try my hardest to get one in. I have songs in mind...now just to see which one would work best...

(Too bad I already used Endway's 'This Town Forever' for a DW vid, or I'd use it here...it's pretty much a perfect anti-ship song, if anyone needs an idea!)

Cool idea. I haven't participated in one of these in FOREVER. I'm afraid though, that making it look like Jack and Sawyer don't love each other is simply an impossible task.
