Theres actually 2- while the 60's one is a little bit more "true" to the story (WWII British school boys) the acting etc (and its black an white) leaves something to be desired. There are so many parallels between that book and LOST its astounding. First one to guess who Boone is supposed to be gets a cookie!

Simon!

It's an interesting book. I recommend the book too, not the movie(s) they're crappy, and you won't pick up the whole allegorical part of it all.

Reading books seem to be ALWAYS better than watching movies if you want to really understand the material. Always.

Yes, I should read it sometime too.

I always mean to read it but it's a pretty long book, isn't it?
I've loads to read for Uni and stuff! Maybe I'll aim to read it in the summer if it comes recommended!

Awesome episode.

Ive always liked Locke. Wanted to bitchslap him upside the head a few times over the seasons but he totally rocked this episode.
Ben too, even though I find him sooooo creepy - - - still.

I actually called Cooper being behind that door when Ben talked about the box thing. And I am also willing to bet anyone -lets say- a hundred dollars he is also the real Sawyer.
Guesses about what Locke will do with his dad, now that he has him helpless and all? My prediction: he'll put up an angry, cruel front, but in the end he'll let him go. Unless he takes a dark twist and... kills him or something. That'd be intense.

There's no darkness I tell you! Darkness!

I called it too and although I wasn't surprised it was great to see that scared look on Coops face.
Ive been thinking for awhile that Cooper is the real Sawyer.
I think Locke will ultimately kill his Dad to keep Sawyer from killing him.
My prediction: Sawyer will come very close to killing Cooper before Locke does it instead.
Darkness -- fleeting moments at best -- but yeah a true villian would be nice. Perhaps Jacob will be that villian.

The Jate seemed forced to me really. I guess I'm biased but I didn't get all the whispering and stuff it felt off. Jacket all the way baby!

Seemed forced to me too but all their "romantic" scenes do.
They have NONE of the electric energy that takes place when Josh and Evi are acting together.
I like the character of Jack most of the time but its like watching wood when they are trying to get romantic.
He kisses like he's reading a book.
I think Jacket has way more energy together.
Although I reserve judgment until their kiss, if it finally happens

The other thing that I didn't like about this episode is that Jack and Sawyer didn't have hot gay sex.
I mean, I realize that they weren't even in the same geographical location. But when Jack was playing the piano. You just know he was thinking of Sawyer.
So they could have had like a vegas-style thought bubble with him and Sawyer going at it floating above his head while he played. At the very least making out if not full-on doing it.
Come on Lost writers, GET IT TOGETHER!

Crap, Trey, its a good thing I wasnt drinking anything when I read that or KC's comment <splort> LMAO
A Jawyer episode would have me vidding in slow mo for months (perhaps years) <EG> LMAO

Kate-girl needs to beat Jack up. lol. I know I just said all those great things about Jack, but seriously I would love to see her beat him up and get really angry, but I'm a Skater so what can I say...lol.

Nice to know Im not the only one who wants to see her kick his ass. <EG>

Last note- was anyone else giggling that they handcuffed Sayid to a swingset?

That was seriously funny, so was the look on his face.
Like "Can you believe this shit? And I was a Republican Guard dammit!"

Best line was: the box line about the sub ROFLMAO
Second was: your in the wheelchair and Im not LOL
I was yelling at the TV on both of those and cheering Locke on.

The sub blowing up and Locke and Jacks expressions - - PRICELESS!!

Looking forward to some more good episodes like this one.

The real question is - who's Jack? (by which I mean the LotF character "Jack" )

Well, once again I'm late with commenting on the latest episode (this time I'm reeeeally late ), but let me just say this much:

Lost has been getting better and better ever since the winter break and this episode was probably the best episode of Season Three so far. Freaking awesome!!!

There isn't but one thing I didn't like about this episode. The interaction between Locke and Ben as well as Locke and Anthony (he sooo is the real Sawyer... I told ya, huh, didn't I? ) was fantastic and I was completely shocked when Locke got attacked by Anthony. I mean, I kinda suspected that Anthony would be the reason why Locke ended up in that wheelchair but I never would've thought it would happen like that.

Also, I just loooved the moment when Danielle saw her daughter and had tears in her eyes. Awww, that was heart-breaking! I hope that Alex will find out really soon who her mother is. *crosses fingers*

*cough* I won't start talking about the jate scenes here because, for me, it's still Skate and Jacket *cough* Oh, or Jack and Tom, of course.

We really need some more great Sayid moments again, don't you think? The scene when he told Alex about her mother was just great. You just gotta love that guy.
