-Charlie gets either really emo or really happy.
-I yell at the characters (usually Locke or Jack)

It is taking every ounce of control in my body to keep from blowing up at SuperKC (sorry, I'm very defensive of Charlie) so I'm just going to say that, though I still love him to death, Sawyer is much more of an ass than Charlie. If you want me to say more to support this, I can. 
Um... Stuff that happens in every episode... Hmm... I haven't seen Lost for awhile so I can't really think of anything at the moment.

Please don't get mad at me, Charlie-lovers. I liked him 'ok' in season 1, hated him ALOT in season 2 and half of season 3 and liked him a bit more at the end.  But I agree with KC. Sawyer can be an ass, he's always been one and never tried to hide it. He's a selfish guy, but Charlie is also indeed very selfish (and acts so pitiful!! At least Sawyer is doesn't act like a baby) he's constantly deceitful....I think he's just different than Sawyer, you can't really compare. So far, Sawyer';s childhood (and LIFE) seemed a hell of a lot worse is than a poor rockstar who got into drugs.
Also I just can't get over all those times he lied about the drugs. Lied to Locke, lied to Claire...Ah, yes, not to mention Claire! He's been constantly protective of her and Aaron and has acted like he's owned them (almost) from the beginning, up to the point that Claire (someone who cares for him) even began to resent him and his help and didn't trust him anymore...I dunno...and about the Charlie being an ass to Hurley...I think he was! Hurley didn't say that he was a millionaire sarcastically or like he was joking,. He said it like he meant it, he was absolutely serious, but Charlie immediately assumed Hurley of all people was out to get him. Come on! This guy has been great to him for the very most part! Why woudl he do that? It' snot like he was Sawyer or had a bad track record or anything. Even when Hurley tried to explain, Charlie didn't give him a chance and stormed off in a fit like a five year old, throwing back sarcasm. And since then, when Hurley's money has come up, Charlie has been quick to be sarcastic or rude about it, as if he's still lying or something. 
Anyway, not to say that I hate the guy. He was soooo sweet with Claire and Aaron sometimes, he really did try to kick drugs, he gave his life in the end...he's tried hard to be a good guy.  He was nice comic relief, had some cute moments...those were just a few things that I didn't like about him. He annoyed me a lot with the going back and forth with the drugs and all his betrayal and deceit. You expect that from Sawyer, but Charlie...that's a little different.

all the characters have their bad moments and their good moments. Locke, my favorite character, i can seriously despise sometimes. Charlie, ive always liked him, but hes annoyed my a bunch of times. I think i blaim it on the writers molding the characters to the plot rather than molding the plot to the characters. I truley like all the characters though, even Anna Lucia, who a bunch of people despised. Same goes for Michael. But characters can piss me off. |

Ughhhh. I have to say, I've always hated Sawyer. But I don't see Charlie as annoying! They all piss me off sometimes! Most of all Sawyer, Jack etc etc. But they are only human afterall. We all say stuff we don't mean or that can annoy other people and I am sorry when I disagree and say I don't think Charlie selfish. That's a matter of opinion. You can't look after a young woman and her baby for three months and then commit yourself to death to save them (and everyone else!) and be called selfish. Charlie has his moments of course, we all do. But I also blame the writers if they didn't show you his good side enough too.
I'm so sorry but I am like Elyse when it comes to defending Charlie. Nothing personal.  |

Well, obviously all the characters have a bad side. I mean, yeah, Charlie lied to Claire about the statues, but he's definately not the only one to have lied. (And I honestly don't think he lied to Locke. I don't think he ever used again after he burned his stash in The Moth.) So I don't think you should condemn him for that.

Yeah... Because he truly cares about them! And anyway, if Claire didn't like it, she didn't have to let him back into her life. I agree with Jemma, he's not selfish. I can't really think of anything Charlie's done that was selfish.
So yeah... I just generally love the guy. *hugs Charlie*

*agrees wholeheartedly with what Elyse said* But, I do have to say...every character gets annoying or does stupid things at some point on the show. I mean, there was a point during Season 2 when I hated every single character of the show. (Around when I watched Fire + Water and The Long Con..) So yeah, I love Charlie, but he can be stupid now and then. Just like I hate Jack and Locke, but they can be funny or nice-ish sometimes. And Ana Lucia. "Jack and Locke are too busy worrying about Locke and Jack" - LMAO. So that's my point. I don't think we should all get mad at each other because of which characters we like or dislike. I'm a big fan of peace!! Lol. (Just ask Elyse...we're sisters...she knows this!)
