Wow, I didn't think someone who had a similar view as me would respond soo fast. I agree with ya SuperKC, I've always kind of believed in both. And I've always yelled at my teachers when they attempted to force me to pick one.

And of course there are people who believe both Fate and Free Will cannot exist at the same time. But I guess it all comes down to what a person feels.. (And of course different points in a person's life may change one's view)

From my experience, I have found most people that believe in Fate.. but that's just me. I'm just naturally curious, so I apoligize if I sound annoying

I can't see any basis for fate whatsoever, but a lot of it depends on your religious stance. But in this case, if they use fate then it's just stupid.
"You're gonna die charlie" and then he dies. That's just lame as hell

Awwww, that was really sad when Desmond broke up with Penny...

I now have a lot of sympathy for Des, as those flashbacks were pretty "emotional"

He might last a little while but eventually he'll pop his clogs!

After all, that ep proved that you can't change fate!
And it's already tried a few times.
And remember Boone saying that "they'll be fine...for a while" - he could have meant Charlie was gonna die!

What if the only way to save himself is to sacrifice someone else or something? That'd be even BETTER tv!

And what if he has to choose whether to sacrifice Claire to save himself?! What then!? *gasp* That would be even BETTER BETTER tv!

What would Charlie choose?!?! Does he truly love Claire and would put her ahead of himself even when the consequence is definite and final? Or would he continue with his self-obsessed ways, and Claire was just a way to make Charlie feel better about himself? Only time will tell.

Don't worry they won't kill him. He will survive this season at least, but I have no idea what will happen to him in Season 4. Hurley will save charlie, unless deep down he doesn't like him (but that can't be). What are friends for, huh?

Desmond will probably eventually die as well, not saying I want him to but he knows too much now, the others will not allow his "gift or burden" go unpunished. And of course when he dies it will suck, right brotha?
