It's making good points. I thought when I first saw this it would be The X-files replacement, a bit of a sci-fi style and able to easily last and stay exciting. Unfortunately the guys running Lost are not the genius that is Chris Carter. ABC has done too much damage to it really now (legalities getting into the show and so forth), which Fox did to the X-files in the end. Lost has started to waver, and whilst I enjoy Lost I don't hold it the way I used to.
Fox killed the X-files because they screwed with Duchovny, who then wanted to leave and did at the end of season 7. The 8th season was still very good as it was about getting to Mulder, Robert Patrick did a great job. But then the 9th, with Duchovny leaving permanently, meant the entire feel and style changed and I'll be blunt, started to feel American, which the X-files never did to me.
So Lost has followed the same course just a lot earlier. I have to say for the actors and for the credibility of the show it'd be better for them to end the show by the end of Season 4 and let the actors take their fame and get into other things, do some movies etc, because some of them deserve that chance.
I'm gonna get pelted with rocks now aren't I? _________________

I still love LOST!
Maybe it is becoming more of a fan show and can be hard to follow but it is still, in my eyes anyway, one of the best, most gripping TV shows ever.

They're being a bit dramatic.
I agree the show's gone downhill. That's not really a secret.
But the ratings in previous seasons, esp. season 1 were astronomical. It's not quite fair to hold it up to that standard. They should hold it to the standard of their other shows, and I'm sure it's still doing fine in comparision to those. |

What kind of idiot would start watching a show in it's 3rd season? Of corse it's going to be hard to follow - it's an intelligant show. And like KC said, it's still doing better than others eg. Gilmore Girls (Piece of crap). This season has been ok so far - and it's getting better as it goes on. _________________

Its so strange you would post this because I actually signe don to discuss this with you good folks. Its no secret, you guys are right. I had a weird feeling when I read that article...I realy feel the move to 10 has hurt it a lot...now that I have an early morning job, I find myself having to watch the show the next day, which I hate doing! I cant discuss it at work, etc. My family is the same way. Besides that, all the negative points, despite some fans' denial of such complaints, are valid. Im not worried about me (Im far too invested to quit now). I remember having a huge debate when I actually still visited the lost-forum.net, which some people were like "ITS AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! " regardless of what happened. Some like me were complaining (especially about the season 1 finale) that they never reveal anything. They pile secret upon secret, and never "solve" anything.
Its also no secret that I really dig Battlestar Galactica- before you start claiming "apples and oranges"- hear me out:
Why they can be compared:
Despite an unorthodox setting, both are character driven shows with a large-ish cast, a diverse group of people including complicated backstories, baggage, etc. Love triangles, etc. Who to trust etc.
I have always liked BSG for not being AFRAID to close up certain storylines and mysteries. They arent scared of wrapping stuff up- confident that the viewers will be satiated and come back for more. They make new mysteries, etc. A few are long standing (as in any drama) but they arent scared of revealing that Sharon was a Cylon, that Hera is still alive, that Starbuck and Apollo love each other and admit it. They are confident in their show, and it has done them really well.
My chief complaint is that TOO many questions are going unanswered- its like waiting for a bus that MIGHT come eventually- whether the destination is somewhere fantastic or not, youre eventually going to give up and go home.
Did they forget about:
...the two bodies in the cave?
...how Jin got back to shore before Michael and Sawyer?
...the empty coffin?
there are just so many...if the bodies are Amelia Earhart and Fred Noonan, why not just tell us? That would be really interesting. No one talks about them anymore, what did they do with them? Did they bury them? Are they still sitting there?
Anyway sorry for going on a rant, I just wanted to address the article. _________________

i think lost will still keep alot of the fans it has right now but i dont think it will get any new ones (plus aswell it would be to hard to follow if you started watching it now)
but i do understand that the breaks between the episodes were the worst thing they could of done becuase here (in the UK) i never saw lost advertised after the break, it was only because of the internet that i knew wot date it would return.
Im sure it will still keep going for a while though, well i hope _________________ www.henrycusick.com

I thought that the Others had taken the body for the autopsy.

In ref to the xfiles, I agree with you guys. I watched from day 1- and I was so freaking confused at the "conspiracy" I never really had an idea what was going on, so eventually I didnt try and always preferred the monster episodes better. _________________

She got it from the outside world.. Like got it from the hospital or wherever (obviously she didn't leave the island, she must've used a computer)
I'm getting confuddled. _________________
