Heehee, thanks Heather! That was probably the biggest problem I had with the Shayid part, as I wanted him to have some sort of redemption in the first chorus, but I couldn't make it so Shannon wasn't actually dead as I established that in the verse. So, I decided to go for an angle that kind of said 'even when someone you love has died, they're not completely gone - they're still there' which I think worked. That clip with the colour fading into black and white (Shannon walking up to Sayid) was a biatch to get right with the cookie cutter though

Great vid!! I really enjoyed this one and that even though I'm an atheist .
Excellent concept and great clip choice (although I kinda doubt that Jin and Sun would believe in Jesus since they're probably buddhists  ). My favourite parts were those with Locke and Eko... very touching!

I have a soft spot for feel good ensemble!!!
That was very well done AP!!! I love all those shots of the Virgin Mary Statues tying everything toghether.

Hey, I'm an Agnostic-Atheist (basically, undecided but leaning more one way) which is the main reason I wanted to do this - I wanted to challenge myself to make a video coming from a perspective which wasn't my own, but also do it sensitively. To be honest I hadn't thought about Sun and Jin's religion but since 3.02 it's kinda hard to believe that Sun has morals

Thanks Cinthia! I'm so glad I took the request now - it was a big challenge I set myself to make not only a religious video (coming from a pretty non-religious person) but to make a feel-good one too (after Sins and Virtues, which weren't really what you'd call feel-good), so thank you! I trawled through practically the whole of season two looking for clips of the statues that I could use, heehee!

As for the religion part of the video, I thought of it fitting the Lost characters when I first heard it. Each verse and lyric stuck out to somone in my mind. And AP just made it work perfectly!!!
I'm a Christian and have been since I was very little, so I've always viewed Lost having somewhat of Christian themes in it. Although it is more Catholic, the main Christian themes are there. And I know some of the charcters aren't Christians, but belong to other religions. But for this song, it works.
And I showed this to my chruch group this moring and they loved it!!! My mom actually cried!!! AP, she wanted to tell you that "You are amazing with making the clips. And should send it to ABC!!!" LOL She was in awe at how you matched up the clips to the lyrics really well. And then she was shocked to learn I was the one who pictched the song. LOL
So, my mom and friends at chruch are going to send the link threw e-mails to more people!!! I think this video is going to very popular among the work place e-mail forwards!!!
Thanks again everyone for the kind words!!! AP really did a fantastic job with this. Now everytime I hear this Third Day song, I'll always think of this video!!!

I really envy you. I want to believe in God (or at least a God) but to be honest I think I've grown up around such cynical and skeptical people that it almost seems impossible for me to believe in anything unless I can see it with my own two eyes. I'd start going to church if I thought I would be able to find something inside myself which would give me faith.

You are seriously making me go red! I can't believe I actually made someone cry! I think the most amazing thing is that the video is coming from a pretty non-religious person - though like I said before, I can't take all the credit for it, as you were the one who recognised most of the parts where the lyrics applied to Lost.

Congrats on getting the Gold!!!
I understand about your situation AP. I've had many friends over the years who've gone through situations like that. I guess I'm very lucky to have parents and grandparents deep in the Christian religion. My mom's parents are 2 of the cofounders of our church. In a way, I feel like I've known about God my whole life. But I'm not going to save I haven't doubted. I really went through a doubt phase in high school when 9/11 happened. But if anything, I was able to strengthen to my faith. I'll be praying that you'll be able to find out what your purpose is.

I think to be honest the problem that I had was that - though in other respects this has been a good thing - my parents were pretty much laid back and didn't try to impress any of their beliefs on me, they just let me develop my own. Though I can't say that if I had grown up with faith I wouldn't have lost it now. But thank you, that means a lot to be put on someone's metaphorical prayer list! *teary*
