YAY the Ben vidlette is here!!!!
Loved it. Really liked the TV border/TV effects, and the really soft but noticable beat use. Great job with all the AU and as always with your vids, one of the most creative ideas ever. _________________

GAH! I can't believe I didn't see this when you first put it up! *facepalm* It's all Eric's fault
This is AWESOME, Ais! Totally worth the wait and anticipation! I loved the way the lights moved around on the screen with those piano notes...gorgeous, as always! _________________ avatar: Plastic!Winchester Theater by anteka @ LJ; icon by me

Awesome idea of putting it on the tv screens. I am gonna do that in my Hurley vid just so you know I didn't steal it I really liked the choice of clips aswell and it made the triangle seem real. The tv effects were very well done. Great job! _________________

Did you honestly just get me to feel sorry for Ben!?
What have you done to me, woman!? Gahhhh!!!
Well, needless to say, I loved it. I love how you gave the impression that Ben was watching his and Juliet's life on screen and then it ended when Juliet interrupted him. I also love the beat use done to the starlights ... very cute.
This whole little vidlet was insanely adorable. Great job! _________________

That was WICKED Ais!
I loved how the whole video was in the CCTV thing. And poor Ben! The AU Jacket scenes were done very well.
Loved it! _________________

Ais uses Baby Vegas, I think, still. I'm totally gonna get myself some Vegas love myself once I get an external hard drive! WMM is AWFUL and so frustrating _________________ avatar: Plastic!Winchester Theater by anteka @ LJ; icon by me

Thank you mistojen and yes WMM is the most annoyin movie maker ever, because so many people can use cool afects and all you have is things like slow down and hue saturation!!! It is sooo unfair! xxx

Short, sweet and well executed I loved the solar effect on the monitors, it gave it the twinkle that old songs like that seem to have whenever I hear them.
Maybe she doesn't know him cause he chooses to hide away and spy on her and Jack with cameras instead of facing her like a man, oohhhhh SNAP! Very creative approach with the "monitor view". Loved it _________________

I was at work today knowing this vid was up and I just couldn't wait to get home to watch it!!!
awwww!!! I can't believe you made me feel sorry for Ben. Loved the TV frame and the sparkling effect while Ben was watching the monitors. And that last look between Ben and Juliet was absolutely priceless!!! Great job and very original (as usual , I wish I had half your imagination)
Can't wait for your next one. _________________

*squee!* Comments!
Marcus: Thank you so much! I'm so happy you mentioned the beat use because I LOVE beat use and try to work it into my vids in different ways! It's always so great to hear that it worked! Thanks again! *ruffles hair, then runs* (Sorry, it's a tradition... )
Mistojen: When in doubt, blame Eric... Thank you kindly for checking out the vidlette (aka the cutlet )! Kind words are always so appreciated! *hugs*
Savanna: My Skater and Ben fangirl sister! It's so funny that we both did Ben romance vids at the same time and didn't even know it! I loved your Ben and Kate vid! And I'm so glad that you liked mine, too! We need to find him a happy ending, like you said! Thanks so much for commenting!
Polarbear: Pauly! Glad to see you! I actually just got the cutest little polar bear figure who now stands by my computer (my new "vidding muse" ) and of course, I thought of you! And I can't wait to see your Hurley vid! Believe me, I know you've got plenty of great ideas on your own without having to "borrow" from me! Thanks so very much for commenting!
Borislava: Thank you so much! Making him watch those Jacket scenes was a fun way to get some angst for poor Ben! I actually have always had the feeling that "something" has gone on with Ben and Juliet in the show anyway, so I had a good time trying to show how he might feel watching her get closer to Jack... Thanks again!
PsychoCynic: Mwahaha, my evil plan worked! I made you feel sorry for Ben! I was proud of those little twinkly light things, so I'm glad that they've come across well. I actually had to work with them so they'd stop slooooowly moving like a spotlight from one screen to another! *smacks forehead* D'oh! It finally dawned on me what I was doing wrong and I was able to get more of the look I was going for! Thanks muchly for the kind words!
IntoTheVoid: Thanks, Elle! I really did want to put Ben in a more "angsty romance" light than we've ever seen him (it's amazing how many soulful looks he really has had so far... they just never really were for a person, "that way," lol! ). Thanks for checking it out and for commenting!
charmed_charlie: I love your icon! Yay for Desmond! Anyway, thanks for saying that. I'm really glad that you liked it!
Jack_has_no_chance: Thanks for the kind words! Oh, believe me, I understand about WMM! I worked with both versions 1 and 2 for a long time until I was able to switch to Sony Vegas Movie Studio. It's a great program, in my opinion, and a lot cheaper than the full version of Vegas (while being able to do practically all of the same things!). I highly recommend it! Thanks again!
Mistojen: Thanks for fielding the question until I got back! And thanks for helping to spread the Baby Vegas love!
xgene: I'm always glad to read your reviews, gene, because I'm just never sure what you're going to say! The "oohhhhh SNAP!" made my day! I'm glad that you agreed about that sparkly monitor effect, that was really about the only thing I could "see" happening at that point! But it's always a relief to hear that what I "saw" did fit the music! Thanks so much!
A word about the music, while I'm here... I know there are more contemporary versions of this song, but I couldn't resist this one, which is the first I heard years ago (Mickey Gilley is in my Southern DNA, what can I say? ). I just loved the idea of pairing angsty Ben with a honky-tonk piano! (There were actually some great instrumental moments that got lost when I cut the song down. I hated to do that 'cause I really do like the whole song but the full 4 minutes was just a lot more than I felt I needed for this vid. )
cylune: Almost cross-posted you but caught it just in time! I'm SO glad you mentioned that last look between them! That was one of those "happy accidents" (I knew she'd knock on the door and he'd open it but I had forgotten about that look until I actually put the clip on the timeline and I went *squee!* ). It became one of my most favorite parts! Aw, thanks for saying all those nice things! I really appreciate that! Next, Red Hot PB&J, coming right up! ("Coming right up," being in Aislynn Vidding Time, of course, which usually means several weeks... Oh well... ) Thanks!
Thanks to all who watched and commented! |
