And was I the only one shocked when Sun shot whatserfaceofdeadwood?

I was surprised she did it, but it seems to me to be more of an accident shooting, because she heard that sound, which scared her, thinking that she was being attacked. She kinda jumped and shot the lady.
what interrests me is what whatsername said before Sun shot her, how they weren't the enemies, but they would be if she pulled that trigger. Makes "The Glass Balerina" fit in a lot better doesn't it? lol. Sun kills an other, and now she and the others will have to suffer the concequences. (but then again, that's not at all true, since plenty of Others have been killed . Just not by her )

Which makes the question - why didnt Sawyer kill or at least hurt The Others when he had the gun?
I would be dissappointed in him if he did, since the Others really haven't done that much, and were treating them okay considering the circumstances. Plus, he was testing their strength to weigh chances of escape, not trying to kill any of them. That would mean some huge retribution, leaving him either dead, hurt, or under heavy guard - none of which helping his options.
Not to mention Kate had a gun at her head .

I'm racking (sp?) my brain right now to think of any man on the show who's cheated on his wife.

Can't think of one either. Why's it matter to ya KC?
Aren't Sun and Sarah the only girls who cheated anyway?

Well, this is a pretty sad affair, the only couple on the show that hasn't cheated and still functions is Rose/Bernard. Boy, I can't wait until that ep, when we find out Bernard's guilt about not working hard enough to get Rose off the island was because he's the father of Sun's child. .

Oh.My.God. Im in a total stage of 'WTF?!' How have I never seen that before? Is that just some ones take on it or is it true? I sound so dumb right now but I need to know the facts! The ending made chuckle though

Oh yeah, totaly forgot about that. And Sawyer did say that he was 100 % sure that Juliet would've shot her. So that makes sence now

It doesn't really. But a couple people got upset at what I said about her because I was holding a "double standard" to women or something. But I was pointing out that I wasn't. That I'd say something similar about a cheating guy, but there haven't BEEN any cheating guys so I haven't had the opportunity to call them whores! LOL.

IntotheVoid

The girl at the end is known as Rachel Blake, who, pretty much for all the hiatus this past summer was tracking down members of the Hanso Foundation to find out what they were doing. This ending vid is pretty much what's been discovered. I only took part in it for a short time, but I did have some fun doing TLE.

*ahem* sorry about that. I was talking about television and society in general... if a man sleeps with many woman (like Sawyer and Charlie) nobody sees anything wrong with it but but if it's a woman who has many partners, she's considered a whore. I just don't like that.

Sorry for the OT discussion! Back on The Glass Ballerina!

I spose it's because women are supposed to be the ladylike ones, and I guess you could compare it to Sun's situation. It's a question of honor in her culture, and in 50's America, it was considered downright sacreligion if a woman did. That's why women must band together and make some name up for men who do it and burn them at the stake! LOL

Don't judge me...........>.<

Well, the whole Lost Experience is an official ABC thing that the writers designed, so unless they can figure some way to weasel out of it, I'm pretty sure the whole thing could be considered Canon (i.e. true). However, I wouldn't trust any internet Lost info too heavilly . If it's on TV, THEN it's Canon .

My thoughts...

Overall, i thought this episode was pretty good. The flashbacks were not that interesting, but not horrible. The botched standoff with the others had some major wasted potential, but luckily the ending did not dissapoint.

1. Like Hobbes already mentioned, Sayid and Jin's 'plan' made them look like total morons. It really, really goes against Sayid's character to be that dumb. Did they think the others wouldn't see the boat? Did they think the others are like insects drawn to light? Am i missing something here?

2. I thought the ending was really cool. Now not only do we wonder how the others got on the island, but must now also wonder why they choose to stay when they *apparently* have the means to leave... hmm.

Glad someone else was annoyed by that, E . Sayid's character just took a major blow here with his super-duper plan.
Though in his defense, that AK47 he had could have easilly wiped out the Others in a few seconds ( IF they had been standing clumped together ) Though then again, that apparently isn't true, because although he was firing away when they were not that far away, on a sailboat (i.e. close together) he still didn't hit even one. That thing hits everything within a two-meter wide spread wherever you aim it should have hit something. You don't even have to aim with that thing.
So yeah, that all disappoints me, a lot.

lol no worries. Knowing Lost, what we saw has absolutely nothing to do with what the answer really is , it's just something we THINK we know, which then gets completely debunked in a season or two .
