Was just wondering what is the difference between Sony Vegas 6.0 and the Platinum Edition?

I found both on Amazon.co.uk, and there is only four pounds' difference between them, but I was just wondering if there's any big differences in the Platinum edition and whether it's worth the extra four quid?

I don't know the answer to your question but if you want to save some money, I would recommend Vegas Movie Studio. I used both Vegas 6 and Movie Studio and I still haven't found significant difference between the two. And Movie Studio is a lot less expensive.

I second that, cylune! I'm using Sony Vegas Movie Studio 6.0 also and I haven't found any real differences between it and the full version of Vegas 6.0 -- other than the price!

It's actually Sony Vegas Movie Studio + DVD, which has a second program for burning and authoring DVDs. It also comes in a Platinum version but I'm not sure what the difference really is. I haven't tried burning a DVD yet, but I can tell you that the SVMS part is just awesome!

Good luck with whatever program you end up getting!
