Charlie and Claire have their ups and downs. This vid is about both of them remembering their good times - while they have fallen out. Towards the end Charlie just wants Claire to open her eyes and realise he is the one for her.

Really great use of the "hypnotized Claire" scene

to go with the music and with the story of the vid in general!

I really enjoyed the vid, it was so sweet!

Woah! I really liked that!

The clips seemed to match the song perfectly, and I loved how you worked with the beats of the song. Particularly the part where Locke punches Charlie, that worked really well. And like Aislynn said, your use of the Claire scene at the end was really cool!

Finally got to see it!

I really liked it. The transitions were really wonderful (I'm a sucker for that lighting effect when I see it) and I liked the square effect you used for memories. I also liked the not-quite-black&white, but more of a desaturated look.

If you don't mind, I'd like to offer constructive criticism about the beat use. For example, I really liked it when Locke began punching Charlie and it went PERFECTLY with the music and tempo. I know it's a pretty mellow song, but there was some beats you could have made more attention to throughout the rest of the music. And for the first chorus (I think) where the singer keeps repeating "I want you to open your eyes," it would have had a better feel to it if you matched a different clip to each line. Just because it's the same line over and over, doesn't mean it has to be the same scene drawn-out.

I hope you don't take that criticism the wrong way. In fact, I probably know less than anyone, but it's just my two cents' worth.

Great work, especially since this is your first Vegas vid! Vegas is a bit tricky when you work with it for the first time, but you did very very well. The cuts and especially the transitions are quite good.

Oh, and wonderful use of the lyrics! (Best part: "My bones ache, my skin feels cold and I'm getting so tired and so old")
