|
|
So, I thought I'd try my hand at audio editing to edit out a two minute long instrumental in the middle of the song I want to use for a partial ensemble vid, and when I tried it...it was like I hadn't even edited at all. I can see that I've split the audio clip and I can see where I've cut it but it plays on like I never touched it. I tried doing the same thing with a couple of other songs on my hard drive and it worked fine...but I can't seem to get it to work for this particular one I need. Any suggestions or anyone want to help me if I tell you where exactly it needs editing? This is making me angry...because it's only the song I WANT that I can't get to edit correctly. Also, it's bad enough that I'm having a brain freeze on clips to use for the last 10 seconds of lyrics, and now this. Booooooo. Any takers? I'd rather not bother Aislynn with it, because I've already got her on the case for something else lol
Oh, and also, once I get this audio thing sorted out, does anyone want to beta what I DO have and help suggest to me some clips I could use for that last ten seconds I need? |

*Aislynn has trouble keeping her nose out of help questions*
How are you editing the audio? Just with WMM or are you using an audio editor? Not that I'm...uh...answering the question. I'm just casually strolling by and asking.
Yeah. That's it...
*strolls away, whistling innocently* |

you crack me up, you know.
I'm using WMM because that's all I have. I figured, since it worked on other songs exactly the way I wanted it to work for THIS song, that it'd be fine, but...it hates me, so...no luck. |

Sorry Aislynn, I know you like helping mistojen but I thought I might give it a go.

Just wondering...you are deleting the part of the clip you don't want after splitting it, right?
If you are, I dunno what's going on, but I could try to cut it down...ya might wanna ask someone else who has one of those fancy audio-editor program things though. But I've cut down lots of songs I've vidded.

Believe me, it doesn't hate you, it's just a little bit mentally challenged at times. _________________

Yeah, I am. I had the same trouble when I tried to cut down "Baby Mine" from the Dumbo soundtrack. It happens to the tracks that when I'm playing back the whole timeline, I can't just skip from one part to another, because then the sync goes off. I'm wondering if it's just the files, but I tried another download of the song and it still doesn't work. If you want to give it a go, I'd love to have the help. I'm about to go to bed, because my computer's acting up right now, but I will check back tomorrow to see if the offer still stands, and if it does, I'll give you the song and time points I need altered. Thanks for the offer! |
