Yes, I looked through this whole board and didn't find a thread quite like this (although there was an 'iPod Nano' thread I saw, lol), but these are for iPods in general. I now own an iPod shuffle, along with the rest of my family, and it's like my new best friend. I love FINALLY being able to go around while listening to music like so many other people get to do. Infact just earlier I was walking all around downtown in my little town and then back, listening to Gorillaz. It was awesome. But all I have on my iPod so far is Queen's Greatest Hits, Gorillaz, some The Who songs, most of the Lost soundtrack, some random songs from Now CDs, and a few narada guitar and relaxing celtic songs. I think I need a more wider selection so I don't end up getting tired of it.

What kind of iPods so you guys have, if any, and what songs do you have on it? Any suggestions on how to help me fill up my iPod? This can be the official iPod music discussion thread.

i use my 4G Nano so much I even bought the insanely overpriced apple universal dock!

I'd suggest getting into podcasts, but I'm not sure how they work on a shuffle.. how do you browse your library on that thing anyway?

You browse by blindly pressing on the next or previous buttons. And how you upload songs is by plugging the shuffle into the USB port on your computer hard drive and opening up Itunes. That's how you see your whole library and add and delete stuff. It's not as expensive or definitely as great as other iPods, but hell, it's still got amazing CD sound quality and it's better than nothing.

I once listened to a Lost podcast (for The 23rd Psalm) but I got easily bored.

I despise iPods because I feel they are overpriced and break too easily. That's why i've got a Creative Zen MicroPhoto. I've dropped it on concrete like 8 times, and it still plays beautifully. Not bad for a hard drive player. Same price as an iPod nano, twice the memory. And it has a screen. *looks at iPod shuffle*

I have an iPod Nano, and i've dropped it like 20 times and it hasnt broke (maybe its just my luck). Mostly, I have Snow Patrol, Coldplay and Oasis on my iPod but cos I get moody sometimes I switch to Rock - then I have Nine Inch Nails and Audio Slave. I think iPods are worth buying, but my only problem with them is that the battery doesn't last that long (about 5 hours)

Lol okay but at least 60% of the people i know personally who have iPods have had them break on them. Either the entire system just broke down or the batteries broke, and because iPods don't have removeable batteries, it's expensive to fix.

And by the way, small mp3 players like the nano are supposed to withstand dropping because they're flash drives. Hard drives are the ones that supposedly break with force.

And warren, i simply suggest that you research the market a bit before going out and getting an ipod. There's a whole wealth of mp3 players out there and if you look around, you can get a good value, great quality one. Of course, i'm sure you know what you're doing

Lol that's such a cute player! And the battery is incredible! It's possibly one of the best flash drive mp3 players out there. Great choice!

Yeah the battery lasts FOREVER. I really need to add some more stuff to mine. I've been neglecting it. But it is adorable, name and all.

So yeah, I gave in and got an iPod about a few weeks ago... I would have gotten a cheaper regular MP3 but.... the iPod is just so gorgeous I would never be happy with anything else.

Nano, Black, 1 GB. I got a very nice leather case for it too that holds it pretty tightly so it still keeps its sleekness. I'd rather have a nice clear one, but then I'd have to order away for it, and I wouldn't be able to actually use my precious pod until then .

I love this thing. It's just so..... self indulgent! I love it!
Mine is so full though... I actually have a playlist in iTunes I call "iPod Fodder" which I randomly take songs from to put in the Pod every once in a while once I clear the songs on it That's what happens when you're too cheap to spring for a 2 gig.
