I don't have the time to make videos at the moment (although watch me go back on that claim), but if these ideas haven't already been made, I would love to see them:
Thunder Road (Bruce Springsteen, of course), Sawyer/Kate. The only way that ship can make a logical sort of sense is through desperation, I think. This song is blue-collar enough to make it work, although it could very easily turn corny. (Note: About two years ago, I started to make this but then had to move somewhere with dialup and get a new laptop, so it wasn't worth the effort of completing.)
Ignore; currently working on this one myself:Everything Decays (XTC, the back half of 'The Wheel and the Maypole' off of Wasp Star. Ensemble, with a creepy Dharma/Others/eternal life bent, this song would work really well for one of those global view videos, especially with a lot of the information in LA X. "Maypole, you spun me round and knocked me off my axis mundi / Maypole, the ties that bind me will unwind to free me one day..."
Turbulence (Warren Zevon). Mikhail. Yes, Mikhail. You remember him, don't you? I'm not sure if the show does, but he's dead anyway (perhaps). The song is about a Russian soldier in the Afghani wars and has a lot of good references. It's got a good rocking beat, too. "Comrade Gorbachev, can I go back to Vladivostok, man?"
(Nothing But) Flowers (Talking Heads). It's like 'Big Yellow Taxi' in reverse, all about longing for civilization in the midst of a native paradise. Draw your own comparisons there. Should be done by someone with a good sense of irony and clipping skills (it's a long song).
13 Steps Lead Down (Elvis Costello). The triangle of doom should have this song. "One of them is poisonous; the other is a thief, they say. So what one could give to her, the other cannot take away."
Rambunctious Boy (Creedence Clearwater Revival). Sawyer in a nutshell. "I ain't got time for a Caribbean cruise, just give me a song and a beer." Plenty of beer, presumably.
The Ghosts that Haunt Me (Crash Test Dummies). Miles or Hurley or both, et al. It's got a mild sound but a darkly comic sense about it; it shouldn't feel leaden or serious. "You're so kind, I know you would not mind to send away the ghosts that haunt me now."
'Thunder Road' might have been used, but dollars to doughnuts the other songs haven't been. Maybe they'll inspire someone! Let me know if they do.[/b]

I thought this was pretty cool! It's a side-by-side comparison of the scene with Jack and Rose on Oceanic 815 from s1 and s6:

Now that we're in the final season of Lost, *sniffle* more people than ever are trying to avoid being spoiled before they can see the new episodes for themselves. That can be particularly tricky when you live in a country that doesn't air the eps at the same time as when they premiere elsewhere.
Inside the episode discussion thread, we're free to talk about anything that aired in the ep. Outside of that thread, though, please do try to remember to spoiler text anything spoilery. While some people don't mind knowing what's going to happen before they can see it, some people definitely do and we want to do everything we can to be courteous to those who can't watch the ep the day it airs.
In that same spirit, we're asking that you please refrain from using icons or signature banners that contain pictures, animations or text that are spoilers for the most recent episode. That's something that we often forget about in the excitement of wanting to use new artwork but that's the same as posting a spoiler everywhere you've ever posted on the site.
So, until the next episode airs (or one week, if for some reason the episode fails to air in 7 days), please don't use icons or banners that contain spoilers for the previous episode. That would mean anything that shows a major event from the episode, not simply showing a character/characters. Using an icon/banner of Ben stabbing Jacob would be spoilery, a close-up of Ben's face looking upset wouldn't be (unless it has text on it that says "*just killed Jacob*" or the like ).
If you're creating fan art that contain spoilers for the latest episode, please mark your thread as having spoilers for whichever episode name or number so people will be aware before they click.
In summary, we're asking you to please refrain from using spoilery icons/banners and please spoiler text any episode discussion outside of the discussion thread until the next episode airs (or a week, should that not be the same thing ).
We want LVI to be equally friendly towards people who seek out spoilers and those who avoid them at all costs. We really appreciate you helping us with this as we all gather this one last season to enjoy the new episodes together.
