Since I am entirely unspoiled (in the Lost sense!), I figured I'd start this up. Please, no end-of-show spoilers in this thread, or I will be a sad panda.
What do you want to see in the series finale, and why? For the sake of getting interesting reasons, if you say Jate/Skate/whatever, please justify it (and please don't derail the thread with that sort of discussion; there's a thread for that right next door). Spoiler policy for recent episodes applies in this thread, too.
Here's mine:
1) All major plot threads resolved - AHAHAHA. OK, a girl can dream. Had to put this one in for a laugh, though.
2) Something other than 'Sawyer sacrifices himself in an act of reformed heroism, going down in a hail of bullets.' - OK, we can all see this one coming. That's why I don't want it to happen, because it would feel too pat and obvious. Two seasons ago, it wouldn't have, but since they've been gradually softening his character (giving him a kid, having him find some temporary happiness with Juliet, etc.), I really want him to go back to solipsism.
3) A coherent mythology is finally established and they stop playing around with Classical Mediterranean, Egyptian, and Mahayana Buddhist philosophies, and who knows what else. - I get tired of being jerked back and forth between the three. Although I don't mind the mesh as it is, it just doesn't click together well enough for me.
4) Sayid has at least a few happy scenes. - I miss the Sayid of 'Perhaps (the boar) wanted to go camping' and 'This music is very depressing,' et al. Bring him back; stop giving the guy constant angst. Naveen Andrews handles the angst better than others might, but it still gets old.
5) Play fair with time travel. - Solve it in a way that eliminates the usual SF paradoxes. They've established Desmond as an anomaly, and that's an acceptable way to back out of the paradoxes. They should use that. Hopefully, they will.
6) An ending like 'The Prisoner.' - Leaving plenty of loose ends and having the audience going 'What the (bleep)?' is always a better idea for show longevity than is solving everything neatly. Not everything needs to be in a nice package and have a pretty bow on it. Hopefully the writers will resist the temptation to wrap things up so neatly. (ETA: I know this is contradictory to #1, resolving major plot threads, and so let me boil it down: I want things to make sense, but I don't want to know absolutely everything about what happens to every single character we've ever seen, especially in a cheesy montage format.)

3min long, per the rules of the contest, ensemble vid, using a folk song. WMM but not too inept.
It'll be uploaded on Monday in the late morning, American EST. Would anyone be able to give it a look-over that afternoon and get back to me fairly quickly on it? (Sorry for the haste, but I have dialup at home, and so if there need to be changes, I need to make them at work.)
