One of my Livejournal friends warned about this today so I wanted to pass it along, since I think most of us still have Youtube accounts.

There are however many of these emails going out that are in fact totally bogus, as the one above is, no matter how real it might look. The only reason I was immediately aware that this was a bogus mail is because although I have an account there, I have never uploaded any videos myself, meaning no-one could be contacting my about one of "my" videos.
I know several of my friends have indeed loaded up videos there though, and as a result might fall prey to this scam, which I suspect takes you to a phishing site, or a site where some kind of malware or virus could be downloaded to your PC. |
Grr, I hate hackers and other scammers!  Anyway, be sure if you get an email like this to go to your Youtube inbox directly and see if the message is there, DON'T click on any link that you get sent to you in an email because it almost certainly will do something bad to your computer.

I am looking for something folky and creepy. Hard to describe. It can be old or new...I'm just looking for something twaingy and sad/creepy... devastating.
The vid I am working on is devastating, heartbreaking, and sad. If that helps.

I have a new imac. I have MAC OS X Version 10.7.2
I use Firefox as my internet browser. I updated it and now I can not log into my YouTube account.
I keep thinking it was maybe cause I got a strike, but after talking with some people one strike wont get your account deleted, or make it unable to login.
My YT account is still up [url] www.youtube.com/fphorses [/url] when I go to sign in it just refreshes the page and says sign in. It wont even take me to the page to put in my username or password.
The strange thing is, I can login to all my other YT accounts no issues...
Has anyone has this issue?
Do Mac users prefer to use safari or a better browser?
any help would be greatly appreciated.
Side note: I can log on with my PC either....
