Hey i'm in desperate need of help my vegas won't work its saying there an error with my media and when it goes to load it says its encountered an error and needs to shut down i'm in desperate need of help

its also saying i have a problem with my media manager

This is the only mention I could even find about a media manager when I did a search on it just now. Unfortunately that still doesn't tell you anything. That site has a LOT of topic in it though: http://www.videoforums.co.uk/sony-vegas-media-studio/

Maybe you'll be able to poke around and find something? Have you also looked in Vegas's own help section? Sometimes you get lucky and find something in there...

Sorry, not much help here but I have no idea what could be wrong. If I stumble across anything else, I'll be sure to let you know! Best of luck getting it figured out! Computer/software problems are just the worst, I'm afraid.
