All right.

At the beginning of the Farscape miniseries, there's a brilliant expositional bit where John Crichton basically covers the entire run of the series (six or seven seasons) in a short story that takes about a minute and a half of dialogue. To bring new viewers up to speed and all that.

And I can't get the idea out of my head of taking John's story and paring it with Lost clips--basically letting the Lost clips tell the Farscape story, with clips of John actually talking to bookend it.

The main reason why I'm not sure it would fit the rules is because it would be predominantly Lost video with predominantly Farscape audio, rather than an actual intermingling of the two shows.

This is so weird... I kinda did this, like many months ago, around the time that Solitary aired ago.

I was writing a fanfic piece for Angel and some people over at another forum knew of my vidding aspirations and suggested I make a trailer as if it were the anticipated "movie" followup to the series. I actually integrated pieces of Lost into it to serve as introduction of an Outside Character named Patrick.

I would totally enter this into the contest, but I have one small eensy weensy tiny little minute clip that I used from another video. I admit that it was wrong and foolish of me and since, way since have been using my own clips from whole episodes and I don't even touch the Buffy genre anymore for vidding for that reason.

I have the vid up on yousendit if anyone wants to look at it. I'll be glad to post it, but again I'm not entering it into the contest. The other thing is that I think it's way too long anyways. I know it's at least 5 min. At least it would give y'alls an idea that "it can be done" or something like that.

Don't mind me, I'm channeling the spirit of George Lass. Laura would know what I'm talking about.

hmmmm... that is a little bit of a pickle

I'm not quite sure what the rest of the judges might say, but seeing as how that situation doesn't break any of the rules set, it seems okay to me! Thanks for asking up on this before you started, btw.

I agree with Hobbes this is an interesting position. I reread the rules that I wrote up for the contest and to me it seems within all the rules. It is telling a story using Lost and another show. Like Hobbes, I don't know how the other judges feel about it, but I don't see any problem with it.

So umm..... Has anyone done/started their vid yet? Im not doin one now because i just got rid of all the eps on my computer (but they still all on Data Disc for if i need em).... Just wondering because there hasnt been anyone posting their entries .... Big smiles everyone
