I love a vid that can find new little twists on characters that I'm so familiar with! I never would've thought you could draw a comparison between the relationships that Jack had with Sarah and Sawyer with Cassidy but you really did it!

I loved the AU of Cassidy "catching" Sawyer with that other chick, too! *hearts AU madly*

And of course, I'm thrilled to see a new vid from you! YAY!!!! *throw confetti*

Really nicely done and the song was just perfect to tie the two stories together! Awesome, awesome job!

Like Aislynn said, I couldn't believe you could make a comparison between those two relationships, but you did it brilliantly! Great job with the AU parts, and awesome use of lyrics. I loved that effect you kept having with the lines.

Ais, I remember when I first thought of doing this song. I loved the lyrics but the words "the freshmen" were kind of tricky. Are we talking about high school freshmen here? But I figured it could be like a synonym for naive and just went with it. I know you know that I started on this vid a long time ago but because of computer trouble, couldn't finish it. Thanks to Steph and her computer's neverending memory, I was able to finish it. But yeah I was listening to the radio one day about.. oh.. eight months ago? Haha and I thought, "this is a really great song for a vid." A realization finally come full circle.

I also Loved the fact that there was NO Kate.. as much as i'm a Kate/Jate fan.. you never get a Jack[&]Sawyer vid with no Kate.

Ohh, I love Jack/Sawyer parallel vids!!!

Nice job with this one. The song fit them and their prior relationships perfectly. I particularly love the line "She fell in love in the first place," since Cassidy definitely fell in love, with the allure, at least, of conning with Sawyer and Sarah fell in love with Jack because he fixed her. On the other hand, Sawyer never did (or meant to) fall in love with Cass - he only wanted to use her and Jack only wanted someone to fix (as said 100 times in the show ). Okay, I'm being way too analytic with this. Too bad I can't do this with English papers!

Anywho, I really liked the AU scenes (even if I missed them until Aislynn pointed them out! ) and the horizontal line effect you used was really cool. Overall, good editing and nice job with this vid!!

lors-x Now that you mention it, you're right. Videos with Jack and/or Sawyer in them and NO KATE are few and far between. So having both of them with her has got to be pretty darn rare! Maybe I've set some kind of record? Haha.

PsychoCynic, I honestly just heard this song on the radio one day and the idea popped into my head. I'm sure that's happened a million times before with a million other vidders, but it was almost crystal clear. I LIKE IT when that happens! Thank you so much for your wonderful comments. I appreciate them so much. I wish I remembered where I got the horizontal line effect. I don't have it anymore. (I started this on the old computer.) I use WMM2 and so I have been finding some of the resource links Aislynn has been posting of high value.

I love this! For one thing, I have always loved this song and found it very sad and haunting at the same time. You did it great justice. I agree that you should get some special commendation for having a Jack and Sawyer vid without Kate. I like Kate and have watched and enjoyed my fair share of Skate and Jate vids, but it is nice to see something new and original too, with clips I haven't seen a million times. I really felt for everyone in this one, Jack, Sawyer, Sarah, Italian girl, and Sawyer's girl (not great with names!). I've watched it many times already. For some reason, one scene that always gets me is Sawyer's hand shaking when he's holding the gun. But there are so many great parts. I really enjoyed it! Great idea!
