I had an idea for what I thought might be a cool contest.

I think it would be fun to have a month where vidders had to select a song that was about a specific city and then use clips from a show(s) or movie(s) that took place in that city.

The contest should encourage participants to make the city of their choice an
important character in their video. For example if you chose Viva Las Vegas by Elvis, the video should feature some footage of the casinos and/or cityscape. If the song New York, New York was used, then iconic New York locations should be seen in the video.

There are many songs about cities all over the world. This is one list I found on wikipedia:

I just thought I'd suggest this contest idea. I haven't seen many videos where the location of the show or movie is the star. I think it would be a fun contest.

With shows returning and such I thought a cool contest would be to make a promo of your favorite show; to try to get someone else interested; or something to that effect.

Since a lot of us enjoy movies here I was thinking it would be fun for us to play a game like 'predict the winners' either all of them or just the main awards like best Actor, actress, supporting actor, actress, director, and best picture?

Just a suggestion.

I always have a blast trying to predict who I think will win.

I think it would be nice if there was 'voter of the month' again. There are so many people whose videos haven't received a viewer pick seals for vids they've put up over 100 days ago. I think that would help people to start voting again. Just an idea.

I would like to see that again too. I think it would be nice if along with voter of the month, if whoever was voter of the month could pick a video that they saw during the voting period to be honored...like "Voter's Choice" or something like that.

Is there a way I can see which vids I have not voted on yet? I have been doing a little better here recently at catching up with vids, but I know there was a cluster of vids a few months back that I missed. I'm trying to figure out which those were.

Macaila, I think you can only filter videos "awaiting judgement" which I'm sure means it's awaiting a medal in general. I don't think there's a way to filter it for just you, unless any CMs can correct me!

Okay, that's what I thought. I have an idea of where I left off at. I may start with awaiting judgement to see if I missed any of those and then work my way back to where I left off.

Yeah I am trying to catch up too (I got a long ways to go) but I'd click on a vid and go "Yep, voted and commented already." LOL
