I wanted to make a video to "Let Go", havent even realized Laura made a video to it. However, I was going to do a general video and not have it based on Jack and Kate. Am I going to have a problem with that?

I don't think L would have a problem with that. No one has exclusive vidding rights to a song.
4LAD just needs to stop picking such popular songs! (though she usually is the first to use them... what a trend setter)

Just curious, but are there any episodic vids posted here? I haven't gone through even a small percentage of all the vids on LVI, and I honestly don't know how to go about trying to find out if anyone's done this kind of video.

The point is, I've got a couple episodic vids in production and I want to make sure I'm not retreading old ground. Any help?

well, I recall we've gotten a few sent in, and at least one I can remember made it in (don't remember the title... but it was a Jack vid) but sure, send them in. Keep in mind though that for a council seal award, we are usually pretty picky with great editing skills when it comes to a category like this lol but give it a try!

this is definitely going on my list, even though it has it's flaws:

Rule No. 2: Damien Rice - for Locke
That song has a lot of... well... crappiness to it as far as vocals and whatnot goes, but it's the most perfect locke song I could ever find just listen to it... it's eerie

Enough stalking , I need to get in here and participate more often. (That is, if nobody'll mind - for one reason or another you might be wanting to kick me out for something. ). So, here I post. After skimming over all the pages on this thread, (and DANG there are a lot of pages), I thought I'd point out a few things that caught my eye:

(Don't remember who posted what...)

1. Only Time - Enya [Ensemble vid]
2. Where is Your Heart - Kelly Clarkson [Sun/Jin vid]
3. Strong Enough - Stacie Orrico [Charlie/Claire vid]
4. A mention of an ANTI-ship song.

1. I LOVE THAT SONG! I was thinking of doing that exact thing, using that song with a vid about the whole gang, but I don't have the appropriate clips on hand. Whoever was making this, or was thinking of making it, or whoever may make it in the future, or WHATEVER... I will love you forever. Unless, of course, you do a half-assed job on it... . Kidding. I will adore you.

2. That's a vid I've actually begun. That was a while ago, though, and it wasn't going so swell, so I haven't worked on it in at least a few months. Except mine is Jack/Kate. (Even though I'm more of a Sawyer/Kate shipper).

3. STACIE ORRICO! I'm a huge fan of her -- if anybody were to make any vids with any songs from her, I'd be the first to reply on your vid's thread.

4. Heh. I've thought of a song to use for this, a song that could be interpreted as an ANTI-ship song, and have thought of making a vid like that -- but I don't know WHOSE ship I would... ANTI , if not all. (Even though I love all LOST ships!)



As for vids I hope to start, finish, and deliver... well, strike that, these are just ideas/projects I've already experimented with. And even though I've started... too many... vids, and have only finished two, delivered one; I hope to get more into it, LOST video-making . Here are some ideas:

I Always Get What I Want - Avril Lavigne (sp? Her last name never looks right, no matter how I spell it...); Shannon-centric. I've started this one -- I just need to pick it back up, now that I've finished another project I'd been working on.

Trouble - Pink; not sure who I'd do this for, if I'd do it at all. Kate is the first person that comes to mind, because one of the lines in the song is "No attorney to plead my case..."

[Insert mystery Evanescence song here] - Evanescence; possibly Kate-centric. I've also started this one, just need to pick it back up again. It's a pretty... *thinks of a vague word*... big, song of Evanescence's, so I wouldn't want to make a much-less-than-decent vid for it -- so if this just doesn't turn out well, I, newbie at finishing vids, won't send it in, and will leave this... big, song to one of the masters. (Who are more than welcome to make it anyway, of course. ). (And no, the song isn't 'My Immortal')

LOL...that was me who wrote that one. l've been thinking of doing this, l just havn't got around to it yet. But l probably will start it pretty soon. And when l finish it l'll send it in asap. LOL.

Uruviel and I basically have the same musical tastes, and twice now we have picked the same song. We just think its funny. We understand that we are two different people, so our vids will be different, even if having a similiar theme. Not to compare myself to great Western artists, but think of all the people who painted "David"- da Vinci, Michelangelo. None of them were the same.

I know someone very early on did "Porcelain", but Im using it, ok? I went through a ton of other songs and didnt like any as much. So many apologies.

Anyway if we are "claiming":

Rocksiren, just read your list, I'm not planning on using any of those, yey! LOL I almost used "Down With the Sickness" for something but I changed my mind.

Jaime, I just read the lyrics to that song last night and wanted to make a vid to it! I dunno when or if I'll ever get around to it though. Looking forward to seeing your version.
