Right now I'm reading Four Past Midnight by Stephen King. It's a collection of 4 stories, when I realized that one of them was Secret Window, Secret Garden! There it is!! Secret Window is about my favorite suspense movie of all time, since it isn't really, well *cough* horror to most people, and it's interesting to read the book after you've seen the movie to look at the depth and the differences between them.
There are a lot of things different between the story and the movie. First of all, the organization. It starts right off with "You stole my story". While the movie had an entirely different organization and beginning, which in my opinion was more intriguing and awesome. And the details about Shooter's clothes when he first appears at Mort's doorstep. I thought he was supposed to have a greyish suit like in the movie, but he had blue-collar work clothes like a light blue T-shirt, work pants and yellow work shoes. Talk about...weird. But I loved reading where Mort was reading the manuscript and his story and seeing how they were exactly alike. But I'd feel better reading a story that hasn't been turned into a movie that I've already seen, so I think I'll give the others a chance too.
