Yeah, same here. Sawyer and Nikki would be just sooo  !!! I also really disliked Sana (don't get me wrong, I love Ana Lucia but she wouldn't have been a good match for Sawyer, IMO). So yes, Claire would be the only other option.
As for Charlie and Desmond (as well as Eko and Locke): I guess everybody needs a bit Claire sometimes, huh?

Oh, Daniel and Josh.  Two of my fav. male characters - love it! though, I must admit Josh looks better with the beard! Unless he cuts his hair like he had it in the Pilot because he looked AMAZING with his hair gelled back and his face clean-shaven. *drools*
Those Sawyer and Aaron pics are just soo.... I hate to say it... but "awwwwwww" seems to be the only thing that can cover my feelings toward them. I want to see that episode purely for that moment.

In LiveJournal picspams are all the rage. So here may I present a picspam of my most favoritest Southern boy of all times! (Okay, so it's basically just a collection of some new and old Sawyer pics that just tickled my fancy for one reason or another. )
*sings* Sawyer's too sexy for his shirt, too sexy for his shirt, so sexay it hurts...
Yep, even Sawyer is amazed at how sexy he really is...
No smart-alecky remark due to being struck mute by extreme Southern boy cuteypie-ness...

By far not my favorite look for him either! And I'm not loving his suddenly very long hair again, either.  I hope Kate gets back soon because the boy is in serious need of another haircut right now! |

Oh, yes, very preciiiooouuussssssss!  Definitely one of the best Sawyer pics ever.

They way he lookd at Kate in that moment was so squeeee!

Guys, those are AWESOME pics! I wish I had the time or patience to do a picspam right now. Hopefully, I will one day soon.
Aislynn, I LOVE the pic of Sawyer in "House of the Rising Sun." Wind going through his hair, the stubble, the silky black shirt ... *wishes real hard she was in Kate's place*
